Delicious!!! - Edit
Really nice place with good atmosphere. Three vegan choices for mains, a couple starters and one dessert (which sounded great).
Read moreI shared the crispy Brussels sprouts and then had the Pulled Bar-V-Que sandwich. Both were DELICIOUS. Would definitely recommend. ❤️

Love this place! - Edit
Went there for the 3rd time last night. Each time as we navigate the menu our experience is better and better. I am a Newby to the WFPB lifestyle and generally hate going out to dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant to all you veggie lovers out there. Last night was my most excellent experience so far. Vegan carrot ginger soup with a drizzle of coconut cream on top as an appetizer. Brussel sprouts over greens salad for dinner with cranberries and balsamic vinegar dressing (huge portion). I left nicely full.

Vegan Sunday Brunch Options - Edit
We went today for Sunday brunch (every Sunday 11am-2pm). Excellent food, excellent service, overall a great option. Owners are very nice and know about veganism. Can’t wait to come back and try some of the new dinner options.

Great Vegan Option - Edit
I had the Root Vegetable Pot Pie and my Wife had the Bar"V"que sandwich. The Pot Pie was excellent with Fresh Local Veggies and came with an awesome sized Hippie Salad with a choice of 2 vegan dressing for $16.95. Love, love, love that they took off the Beyond Burger and replaced it with a REAL plant based option. There are VERY few places that offer vegan options and this guy knows his stuff. The owner was very educated on Veganism and nutrient value. 100% recommend!

Menu getting smaller - Edit
Went today for the vegan burger that sounded amazing on the menu, but when I tried to order it, they said they are phasing it out. Not sure why they’d phase out the burger over the pot pie, but who knows. We ordered the brussels appetizer which was good and was forced to order the pot pie which was severely overpriced for the quality and quantity. It reminded us of a frozen pot pie you could get at the grocery store. Was really looking forward to trying some of the few vegan options in town, but was very disappointed.

$16.95 with a salad was too expensive and none of that was frozen. And they took off a Beyond burger and replaced it with an all natural BBVQUE? I'm guessing you are trended a fad. I'm sure you took to a review and never voiced your thought while dining? You get what you pay for and I spoke with the owner who had 3 other vegan Friendly places prior to moving south.

My review was my personal experience when I went there. I’m glad they’ve made some changes since then.

Great Vegan Option - Edit
There are only one or two vegan options for sit-down dining in our area. They have 7 vegan options across the menu. The Veggie Pot Pie was amazing!

Small portions. Limited. - Edit
I got the veggie pot pie and the Brussels sprouts. The portions were so small that I also had to get the impossible burger with fries. I’d say the pot pie was interesting, a bit soupy but the flavor was not bad. The fries were wimpy.
Read moreThe layout of the restaurant is suffocating and dated. I’d probably eat here again only if I were desperate for something close.

Wonderfully refreshing! - Edit
We have been fans of Hippy Hen House since their opening a few months ago. In an area that doesn’t have a lot of options for vegan/vegetarian foodies, Hippy Hen House offers several delicious and different options for us! The staff is so friendly and we’ve never had to wait for a table. The veggie pot pie is my absolute favorite.

Many choices for vegans - Edit
This is a new restaurant in Murrels Inlet, in an area that doesn’t have many restaurants with many vegan options. There is at least one vegan dish in each category, and they are clearly marked on the menu. I had the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer, the vurger (impossible burger with vegan cheese) and the vegan chocolate cherry cheesecake served in a mason jar. Everything was great, especially the brussel sprouts. There were also salads, and a couple more entrees to choose from. Since they are new, their menu has been changing frequently, so be sure to check their Facebook page for updates.
