Serves meat, vegan options available. The English menu has the vegetarian sushi clearly labeled, some of which is vegan and others that could possibly be made vegan upon request. Sushi is placed on a conveyor belt and the color of the dish denotes the price. The vegetarian (& vegan) dishes need to be ordered directly. The staff is friendly and open to questions. Open Mon 11:00am-10:00pm, Wed-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm. Closing time is subject to change.

Conveyor Belt Sushi - good veg options

Himawari Sushi is a classic conveyor belt sushi place that are part of the sushi restaurant stereotype! It’s a small place, maybe 20 seats!

While the menu is a big one, for vegetarians they have 7 different types of sushi! We tried all of them!

Inari - sweet rice inside a sushi bag - really tasty!

The other 6 are more in the mould of regular sushi. We liked all of them except the Fermented Soy Beans Roll!

The Menu is quite simple, the veg ones are marked out with a red / pink square! For these, it’s best to tell the hostess and she will convey to the chefs! The chefs just hand over your sushi across the counter to you!

There is free soup (probably fish stock so we didn’t go for it) and free matcha tea along with loads of pickled ginger to go with the sushi!

The pricing is superb! Every sushi plate is priced at JPY 150 for typically 6 pcs! Super cheap compared to any sushi we have eaten in India! And of course super tasty!

Must go place!

Good option

A place with many vegan options, with a great value for money. It won't be the best sushi you'll eat in Japan but it's ok. The dish I liked the most was the tofu.

Delicious! Great options.

I had several veggie sushi pieces. Staff was warm & helpful. I loved that veg options were clearly indicated on the menu.

I went there with some colleagues and it was really nice. The vegan sushi options are great and I asked for avocado make which wasn’t on the menu, they didn’t hesitate to make it for me.😄

Nice, Cheap & Quick

Nice cheap & quick sushi place on ground floor. Can request for items not on menu if ingredient available - they made me avocado maki! Good for a quick bite on the go.

Pros: Cheap, Accommodating for requests

Cons: Small range

Nice sushi

There were about five or six different vegan options on the menu all of which needed to be ordered directly with the chef. Thankfully menus are in English so it’s easy to communicate what you want. Most of the options were Makin Rolls containing either cucumber, avocado, bean paste etc. There were also hand rolls which could be customised to be vegan.

Pros: Freshly made sushi, English spoken

Well, its cheap

Do not worth it and the vegan options are few and not quite tasty. The service seemed to be fed up of being there. If you are looking for something fast and cheap its ok.

Cheap, quick, delicious!

The sushi here was quick to order and super delicious, a great little stop-in for lunch just off the main Shinjuku strip. The vegetarian/vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, but the restaurant also encourages you to order off-menu items if you’d like something else (we got avocado rolls)! We ate so quickly that we forgot to take the picture, it was really good. Definitely stop here for a bite if you’re in Shinjuku. All the veg dishes are 150 yen per plate! The nato rolls and cucumber rolls were oishii! Also free green tea is available at your seat.

Good and cheap sushi!

Good place for cheap veggie sushi! They have a few vegan items on the menu but you can also get sushi that’s not listed, we both got an avocado roll and they were delicious! And at a 150 yen a plate it’s a steal!!

Pros: Good amount of veggie options , Cheap!
