Delicious food - Edit
Delicious food, attentive staff and owner. Very friendly. The food was a real comfort food, really tasty. The mushroom rice is definitely something to get.

Extensive vegan and vegetarian menu - Edit
I've been here a few times and I intend to go back. They serve traditional Nepalise food alongside Indian dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive, the surroundings are attractive and the food is very tasty. I've had qatar (baby jackfruit cooked with potato), the mixed vegetable curry, vegetable (vegan) momos and the pancha ratna dal (lentils with onions, ginger tomatoes and cumin). There's a lot to choose from.
Read moreUpdate: They put their prices up. On their website, mains were listed between £9 and £11 which is usual for local Asian restaurants. On arriving, we were presented with menus listing the same mains but with significantly higher prices - around £16. This is far to expensive for what you get.

Disappointing, misleading, and overpriced - Edit
I saw a vegan starter and a full page with items marked as vegan, so I was delighted and ordered the starter while I was looking at the main course.
Read moreThe starter was nice.
I saw in the items marked as vegan things like Paneer, which traditionally is made from dairy, so I asked the waiter and he said that indeed it's dairy. I thought I'll go for the Makhani, but despite it being marked vegan, the waiter said that it has a lot of butter.
Eventually, with a very small amount of vegan options, I went for another dal and it was pathetic - a store bought prepacked sache dal is better (I'm not exaggerating unfortunately)
So for a small portion of liquidy amateurish dal, white rice and roti I paid over 28 GBP.
Pros: the starter
Cons: misleading, small selection of vegan options, overpriced

Nice food but very overpriced - Edit
Really nice food with lots of clearly marked vegan options, but soooo expensive. £20 for a dal baht which is dal, rice and a veg curry - yummy but so pricey and not massive portions. Service also not great, took a very long time to order and pay the bill. Have been a couple times over the years but won’t be going back as price is just extortionate!

Tasty and worth the visit - Edit
There are no pics of the food because I enjoyed it too much! A decent selection of vegan options which are well marked. The bhajis and pakoras were lovely and crispy. I had the tofu masala for a main and although I don’t love that orangey sort of tomato soup colour of masala, the dish was excellent.

Good Food, Interesting Staff! - Edit
Great to have a clearly defined vegan menu and the food was good, but not amazing. I also felt that the portion sizes were a little meagre.
Read moreThe staff were attentive and extremely polite, though the owner is somewhat eccentric to say the least! A very charming man, but he spent (I kid you not) nearly fifteen minutes at our table talking literally to us about gut health!

Such a treat - Edit
Delicious food, lovely friendly staff, great location, clearly labelled menu for veggie/vegans. We were so happy to try momos and a Nepalese dhal. Everything was so tasty. We were given complimentary drinks at the end of the meal which was so sweet of the staff. Would highly recommend. Such a wonderful experience.
