Really nice staff/owner! - Edit
They were really nice and funny! If you speak Japanese and it’s not too busy try starting a conversation with them😄
Read moreThe Vegan Ramen option is a sesame based soup with a lot of vegetables. You can choose between two sizes. The smaller one is 950 JPY and the big one is 1,050 JPY. It’s a really traditional and old place though.

Good ramen at a good price - Edit
Solid ramen for a solid price, great for those who're on a budget or just want a quick filling meal. The large portion was definitely large, too large for me

Popular vegan ramen - I can see why - Edit
We tried to come here twice but the first time there was a sign outside saying that they were sold out, and that wasn't even that late, so I'd recommend getting here fairly early. As with most places we went to in Kyoto, there was a solid queue outside but the shopkeepers tried their best to seat everyone quickly.
Read moreWe sat down at the bar and ordered the vegan ramen which was one of the best we had in Japan. I feel like I've said that about most ramen we had in Japan, but it was all genuinely really good and thankfully this one was too!
We were able to order in English with one of the people there, who spoke fluently.
Pros: Nourishing thick ramen, English spoken fluently

Very good ramen - Edit
I had hoped to visit a smaller ramen shop like this! The ramen was very good. No lines or waiting time at 18 on a Monday.

Good late night ramen spot - Edit
The owners are super friendly, we were their last customers of the day at 8pm though so would recommend not leaving it too late.

Cool place, maybe not vegan? - Edit
I’d highly recommend this place to vegetarians. The workers are cool and it’s a proper dive ramen spot. The vegan ramen broth was great, however I think they use egg noodles - very distinct egg flavour.

Very nice - Edit
A small place, really nice staff (think they were a family). Regretted right after ordering the large bowl, but it was really good so I finished it anyway! Recommended.

Expected more - Edit
Got the large vegan ramen and it was a lot of quantity and also pretty cheap. My expectations were really up based on the reviews here but I didn't found the ramen so tasty as they said. The place can be viewed as cool because it's like a small traditional Japanese place, but it could be cleaner.

Authentic and delicious - Edit
Loved this place so much! Finding authentic, affordable Ramen in Kyoto felt tough until finding this spot. The ramen was so delicious. Ordered the larger size on an empty stomach and holy cow it was huge ahah. Could definitely opt for the smaller one if you aren’t starving.

Getting the authentic ramen experience - Edit
The atmosphere was great. It was like all the tiny, older ramen restaurants in Japan you only wish you could enter and eat at, if that makes sense. The large vegan ramen was HUGE. I could barely finish. And the beer is so cheap for a very large bottle.

Very tasty - Edit
The menu has only 1 vegan item, 950 yen for medium bowl, very big and very delicious! Ramen noodles with sesame soup, sprouts, a bit of cabbage and fresh green onion on top.
Read moreThe place is small, old, almost looks a bit abandoned, but a lot of locals love it. Sometimes there is a line in front, that's how you know it's good!

Great ramen - Edit
There is one vegan ramen made with a sesame based broth. It was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. The place was small and may not be for everyone, but the food was great.

100% recomendable - Edit
Probablemente de los mejores ramenes que he probado. Sabor buenísimo y, la textura de los fideos increíble. Es el típico local japonés pequeño solo con barra, para algunos puede que sea un inconveniente, para mi tenia un encanto especial. Súper autentico!

Fabulous dive-ramen - Edit
The real deal - tiny corner shop, harsh lighting, plastic countertop, old guys on both sides of counter, owner seems to have been there for about 100 years. And the vegan ramen is delicious. And the “bottle of beer” is bigger than you’d expect.
