Poor vegan options

The restaurant has a rotating menu with vegetarian options, animal ingredients are well listed. However, when I asked the staff if they could veganize the meals, the result was disappointing. I asked if the mushrooms "à braz" (tipically made with egg) could be made without the egg, and they served me a portion of dry chips with a few slices of mushroom and courgette.

The best setting

Overlooking the Caima river, HC - Hídrica do Caima restaurant and bar specializes in Portuguese cuisine. It belongs to first eco-hotel in Portugal, which explores various alternative energy sources: hydropower, wind, solar photovoltaic, biomass and biodiesel. Great walks all around or you can ride one of the hotel's bicycles. The decor is inspired by the four natural elements: Earth, Air, Water and Fire. The restaurant is open to the hotel guests and the general public. The menu changes regularly, but there are always a couple of vegetarian and vegan options. Reservations are usually required.
