Doesn’t live up to the hype - Edit
It was fine. The vegan menu obviously wasn’t how they got their Michelin star but they could’ve been more imaginative. 3 dishes consisted of the same broth with spiralised beetroot (plus other vegetable guests). Meat-eater bf not impressed either. Chipped plates and our water glasses were often empty. Waiter was different for every course and didn’t fully explain what was in front of us. Left hungry after spending £160 on the tasting menu each!

Hide - 3.5 Stars - Michelin Star Restaurant - Edit
We had a wonderful time at Hide but I rate it 3.5 because we weren't blown away by anything and our bill was 900 GBP for two people. The atmosphere was really nice and it was a beautiful setting with a view of Green Park. The 7 course vegan tasting menu was beautiful, but I thought the two mains could have been better. The cauliflower main felt basic. The pobloano pepper main was better but missing something. I did not care for the fennel dish that came before the mains and this was one of the extra dishes on the 7 course that did not come with the 5 course. One of us had a wine pairing and, at 300 GBP, it wasn't that great, which is surprising given Hide is part of Hedonism. Moreover, the sommelier incorrectly described one of the wines being from the Right Bank... Right Bank is usually Merlot and when we asked if it was Merlot, he said it was Cab. Then he realized he should have described it as Left Bank. That said, I'm skeptical of spending big GBP on wine recommendations here... There are vegan wine options by the way, which is what I had but the person I was dining with didn't care if their wine was vegan. Anyway, I'd have rated this a 4 if the bill wasn't 900 GBP with food that was not entirely memorable... Both me (the vegan) and my dining partner (the non-vegan) felt the same about our tasting menus, so that's both perspectives.

Fine dining with limited tasty vegan options - Edit
Very fine dining with vegan options although definitely a poor choice of dessert - sorbet which is quite bland and basic or a fruit salad. The starter was really well presented but not the best. The main course was the real star. Although not presented that well the flavours were beautiful and I would recommend just for that. Unfortunately the service wasn’t the friendliest and what I would expect for this kind of place.
