Ambience and delicious food - Edit
Just a delightful ambient restaurant with a lovely courtyard, attentive staff, lots of vegetarian options (sorry I didn't check how many were vegan).. we loved it so much we went 3 times. Portion sizes are generous, sparking clean and well located. A beautiful place to hang out, complimentary bread, Turkish coffee and baklava.

Good vege options and great service - Edit
Great food, service was good and good vibes inside the restaurant. The only thing I'd say is that the vege food is very similar to other places.

Cher mais bon - Edit
Les plats étaient bons mais l'addition était salée. L'imam's favorite un peu décevant, je ne le recommande pas.

Veel te duur - Edit
Het eten was lekker maar niet bijzonder. Eten was veel te duur. Belachelijk.

Way too expensive - Edit
Thought this place looked okay but the food is way too expensive - more than what I would even pay in Australia.

Vegetarian and vegan options - Edit
I was hesitant as from the street it looks like a seafood restaurant. But there is a lovely little garden out back (hence the name) and good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. It is pricey though.

It should not be on this app - Edit
Overpriced place with almost nothing vegan. Every kebab place in this city have more options then this restaurant. Why is it even here?

Rien de vegan - Edit
De l’œuf dans le houmous et les falafels… le serveur insiste pour nous faire goûter des plats végétariens et à base de fruits de mer alors que nous sommes vegan !!

Lacking - Edit
Came here after visiting the hidden gem, Theodosius Cisterna, and saw the reviews. Thought the food looked good and wasn't too impaired by the price, but it is pretty expensive. Like, equivalent of £11 for the vegan mezze.
Read moreExplained that I was vegan, and they brought over a mint yoghurt dip and something similar with the poppy seeded bread and they were convinced it was vegan. I asked if there was any milk in the bread (something to look out for in Turkey!) And he asked me if it was allergens, I said no, he said there's a little bit of milk in it - so be wary! They were helpful and wanting to understand, so they brought me over some different sliced bread to have with the vegan platter.
The food itself was pretty average and not massively exciting. The stuffed vine leaves were great though.
Pros: Helpful, Attentive
Cons: Expensive, Uncertain of veganism

good food but very expensive - Edit
the food tasted good, especially the homemade fresh bread. but it is very expensive compared to lots of other restaurants we‘ve been to in turkey and the portions are rather small as well. also we ordered a dish that would normally come with cheese and told them we were vegan and if they could leave the cheese off and the waiter said of course it would be no problem. however when they brought us the food it did have cheese on it; we sent it back and got something new without cheese. took a while though

Lovely food! - Edit
We had the aubergine and stuffed vine leaves for starter followed by the grilled vegetables and vegetable Hindu for main. All really lovely, especially the sauce on the vegetable hindu. Friendly staff and a cute little garden.

Great staff; food was so-so - Edit
The staff was really nice. English speaking and gave me some stuff on the house. I also appreciate how late it’s open! Pretty big veg menu, but the flavors weren’t anything special in my opinion. Overall not a bad experience!

Wonderful experience - Edit
Sought out this restaurant on our first, rainy night in Istanbul. Received a friendly welcome in an inviting atmosphere. Enjoyed a three course meal each with plenty of vegan options to choose from (staff helpful and knowledgeable in this area too). Highly recommend.

Nice cosy atmosphere with a great back garden for sunny days. They have lots of vegetarian choices and some of them can be made vegan. I had the aubergine with olive and garlic sauce as a starter, fresh pomegranate juice and the best couscous I've ever had (ask to remove the cheese)!
