Serves meat, vegan options available. Opened in Nov 2013, this pub offers a vegan-friendly menu with veggie hotdogs, spaghetti, club sandwich, and tempeh hash at Sunday brunch. Many booths for seating, frequent live music. Jan 2019 reported extended vegan options including oyster mushroom po boy and most of the menu can be made vegan. Kitchen opens until midnight. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-10:00pm. Closed Sat-Sun.

Surprisingly good vegan meal. - Edit
The options were surprisingly extensive. I also learned that they are participating In a city wide 10 week vegan challenge. I had the Fried Oyster Mushroom Po Boy. It was excellent. The portion was huge. The mushrooms were fried crispy. My order came with fries and a pickle. They are open late which was perfect as we at after a UGA baseball game around 9pm.

My Athens Go-To! - Edit
SO many vegan options, amazing food, friendly servers, bartenders, and food runners. Cool vibe. 10 outta 10 would recommend! Their po-boy, the rachael sammie, all the vegan hot dog options… All of it so yummy, and I honestly cannot wait to come back to Athens to enjoy it again!

Best Bar in Athens - Edit
I cannot believe the amount of times I have drunkenly ordered a vegan dog at this place. Ignore the anti-vaxxer in the comment section bringing the review ratio down this is probably the second best place for vegan options (other than the grit) in Athens as someone who lived there for seven years. It’s a 5/5 for me dawg.

Great food! - Edit
Great vegan options for bar food. The oyster mushroom po boy is delicious! They also have a vegan platter for brunch on Sundays which is really good too! I haven’t disliked anything I’ve tried here.

Wonderful - Edit
Came in for lunch—a vegan pizza. I was very happy with the experience. They had the caloric breakdown available, multiple vegan toppings and the Vegan cheese was great! I’ll be back!

Best vegan food in Athens, no contest - Edit
"Hi Lo is a wonderland." -my boyfriend
Read moreHi Lo is my favorite restaurant in Athens (and my boyfriend's favorite too). They have a ton of really good vegan options, with a lot of stuff already vegan or easily made vegan. We love the tofurkey club sandwich, which has tempeh bacon, house made tofurkey, and local Luna bread. On Thursdays they have burger night and their special burgers can be made vegan (and they're delicious). They only have one vegan brunch option currently, a platter including polenta, garlicky collards, and some other stuff I can't remember, but it's all also delicious. Honestly if I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, I would choose Hi Lo no question.

Has a ton of vegan options! My favorites are the toona patties for appetizer, then either the mushroom Po-boy or tempeh pastrami with vegan Swiss! So much more too!!!

Great Late-Night Option - Edit
I love this place. Tons of seating even when there are lots of people there it doesn't feel crowded. They have vegan caramel corn. They serve food until midnight and at least half the menu is vegetarian and cheeeaaapp. The bartenders are all super nice awesome people too. Brunch is good, great to have an option that isn't fried tofu with soy sauce and nutritional yeast. Not that tofu scramble isn't delicious, but its refreshing to have something else available.
Read morePros: cheap, open late, easy parking
Cons: not close to downtown (maybe a pro?)
