If you’re into specialty coffee like me this is a complete let down. The photos on google show latte art - but it’s nothing like it at all. Not flavorful and the bottle of flavored syrup on the counter already gave the hint that this is not great coffee. The bagel was ok and I am grateful I had an option. After having vegan cream cheese bagels it’s a bit of a let down that the only option is avocado. My least favorite part was them packing it into a huge plastic container to go. C’mon think environmentally friendly! There is no seating. Wish I would have skipped it.

Worth finding the place. We had no other choice than to eat in grant park as in the small alley it was too chilly. The bagels were good and the coffee (dark roasted) was very good.

hero hands down has the best coffee ever. i always get an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk and it always hits. i have gotten their bagel sandwiches a few times and they're okay, they offer a veggie and hummus bagel and an avocado with tomato bagel sandwich. personally they're pretty mediocre and very expensive. they started selling vegan donuts for the past year and i believe they're from Beacon and they got the best vegan donuts 🍩🐶🍩

Amazing spot for coffee, had an oat milk vanilla latte and sat outside on a beautiful day and did worked (wifi password is Ambition). They also had delicious vegan dl it’s. My new go-to work spot in Chicago.

Vegan donuts always stocked - Edit
Beacon donuts are the best in town and Hero at this location and down the street in Dearborn always have multiple flavors! They do charge more for adding non dairy milk to coffee which is annoying but unfortunately standard. The vibes and service are always great at both south loop locations.
