Slow service, great tofu

We have visited this restaurant a few times in the past few years. They typically have a busy takeout business. Tonight their dining room was fairly full.

Several options on the menu with tofu. The salt and pepper tofu is a great appetizer, very reasonably priced. Tofu fresh rolls are served with a delicious peanut sauce. We also had the tofu stir fry but we waited so long for it I forgot to take a photo.

I asked about their smoothies with boba but they can’t make them vegan. Bummer.

Pros: Delicious tofu, Flavorful food

Cons: Slow service

Disappointed.

I’ve ordered from here a few times. The first time was amazed. The second time I felt like they didn’t give me a good amount of tofu and veggies. This time they definitely skimped out on me. There were 5 pieces of tofu.. compared to the block or half block that most places give you. There were 4 pieces of broccoli half were tiny, and 3 pieces of carrots... the onion? I found two tiny slices of onion. I called and they gave me a refund but I was really disappointed and sad while eating my food.

Cons: Not worth the price

Sad excuse for a meal.. I liked my one leaf of cilantro and two pieces of onion. at Hello Vietnam Pho & Roll in Peoria

Great vegan options in north Peoria!

There are not a lot of places in North Peoria that are not chain restaurants and offer vegan options. This place is awesome, I have been here many times. The staff knows what vegan is and is very accommodating, I also don’t like oil. I have had the fresh vegan rolls with steamed tofu( the peanut sauce is so good), steamed tofu noodle bowl, and had the vegan Pho. I would highly recommend this place.
