Tasty - Edit
I initially ordered delivery from here for dinner. I picked a mix of sushi and also took the vegan bibimbap. The food was nicely packaged, came in decent portions, and tasted good. It certainly made me want to now visit the restaurant to try more dishes. On UberEats it'll be great if they could put descriptions with the dishes and not just the title of the dish and an image.
Read moreBased on my delivery experience, I went for dinner in the restaurant and the food was just as good. Other than the sushi selection, I had the gochuang tofu. As others said, the atmosphere's a bit basic, but who cares if the food is good.

The restaurant itself not the cosiest, but food is great! - Edit
Sure, the place itself is not the cosiest. But the food! Very tasty and lots of vegan options. I used to come here a lot many years ago, but has kinda forgotten about it. Will change that now!

Mixed emotions - Edit
We arrived in the middle of family rush hour and the restaurant was packed. We had to wait for quite a while to be able to order. There was a constant stream of take away’s as well, so it was a bit too busy for me.
Read moreWhen I asked about a starter - not on the vegan menu - she explained that it was with salmon. No suggestions was given. Before I could continue order, she moved over to take the others choices, and the menus were gathered. I felt so rushed, and I barely could make my order.
There again was some waiting time after the only starter was finished.
The gyozas were great, the bibimbap was really nice, although the kimchi was not the best, and the sushi was excellent. My “duck” was tasty although a bit oily.
The green tea ice cream was a surprise, definitely packed with green tea with a bitter finish, but fun to try out.
Overall, not as warm and friendly as expected. Would I go here again? Maybe. Having that kind of full vegan menu in a sushi place is nonetheless both unusual and greatly appreciated.

Amazing - Edit
Great food, a lot of vegan alternatives. I tried the Tofu Duck (with rice) which was one of the best vegan dishes I've eaten in a long time.

Skip the sushi - Edit
Skip the sushi and go straight to a tofu duck wok, or ramen/udon. They are to die for. I’ve eaten here lots of times and 9 times out of 10 the food holds a 5-star quality. And the woks include LOTS of vegetables, which is amazing. The ramen/udon topping looks bleak but the broth and noodles make up for it, it’s one of the best vegan ramens in town. And you can grab a beer or a glass of wine with the food!

Great sushi and even better ramen - Edit
The ramen is incredible and the venue is cozy, based only on the actual food experience I would give this place 5 stars, however the fairly high price and the fact that it offers non-vegan food leads me to rating it 4/5, like I already mentioned the food is very good though so I highly recommend it.

Best Ramen in the Swedish Kingdom - Edit
Spent a week in Stockholm and went to Helens Sushi twice because the ramen was so delicious and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I got both the ramen noodles and the udon noodles, both noodles were the creamiest best quality noodles I've eaten and the broth was amazing on a cold night. I also tried the sushi but there was nothing specifically spectacular about it, although it comes with a complimentary soup as a starter which is a delightful surprise.

A fixture in the Stockholm scene - Edit
It's too bad this year I won't be able to enjoy their brilliant Xmas bento (darn you, covid19), because it had been a tradition of mine for a good 4 or 5 years. But anyway, Helens does have plenty to offer regardless of when you choose to visit them. Just don't go strictly by what the sign on the wall says, as it seems to indicate there's only 2-3 vegan dishes. My favourite at this point is probably the tofu with gochujang sauce, which I believe is a recent addition. Their gyozas are much-loved too though.
Read moreOn the minus side, a couple of things could be amended if we are to regard Helens as a proper restaurant (not fine dining, but still): a young kid running in and out of the kitchen doesn't make for a pleasant vibe, and I imagine it's potentially dangerous. Speaking of the vibe, on my last visit no music was played.. or, come to think of it, two fully-grown adults turned up and and began playing videos on their phones, but thankfully they listened to reason. As far as staff are concerned, it seems like they have different owners now, but they do know their onions. One of their waitresses seems to be a bit moody though, so bear that in mind just in case.

Average sushi, but many other tasty dishes - Edit
I've been here a couple of times and I've tried the sushi and a couple of the other dishes. In my opinion, the sushi is pretty average, not better than you can get in any other sushi place in Stockholm. The nice thing about it is that it's served with vegan miso soup. As far as I know, you can't get that anywhere else in Stockholm. However, I think that the other dishes on the vegan menu are far more interesting. Everything I've had has been very good. I also give thumbs up to the green tea ice cream for dessert!

A veteran - Edit
Helens have been a quiet star on the vegan scene in Stockholm for as long as I been interested in veganism, this have come and gone but they always been vegan friendly.
Read moreIn the last year they come even further forward with the vegan menu which have fantastic Korean and Japanese dishes. In fact I consider sushi at Helens Sushi to be a misstake, there best dishes are the Gyoza or one of the tofu dishes but I can't decide which.
Fantastic options, and sadly underrated for the latest trend during a lot of times.
The ambience is friendly and local, people know them etc.
Pros: Vegan menu, Tasty, Central
Cons: The sushi is not the best dish

Great sushi - Edit
This is my favourite sushi place in Stockholm. I love that they have a seperate vegan menu, so you don't have to ask if an item is vegan. Great vegan miso soup too, usually miso soup isn't vegan which sucks because it's a part of eating sushi if you ask me. Overall great experience. Have'nt tried their non sushi food, but I bet it's great too.

Not Just Sushi - Edit
As well as the usual sushi and miso options for vegans, the current menu offer around seven other dishes to try. So far, none of them has disappointed me or my family, but the one item that brings us back time and time again is the gyozos. Although the decor gives the place a slighty cheap feel, the food and service more than make up for it.

Great sushi & miso - Edit
Really nice vegan sushi and miso. The restaurant has several tables and is popular with the locals. Have yet to try the other vegan dishes. It seems to be standard for them to have a vegan daily special which is awesome.
