There are a lot of vegan dishes on the menu (clearly labeled), and the food we had was so tasty that we went there twice! Only the zucchini pasta could have some more vegetables in it. We sat in the front both times, when we left we discovered that there‘s another seating area in the back that looked really cute and wasn‘t directly next to the road, we would sit there next time.

I was here with my friend and we had noodles with vegetables. It was good but the noodles were so crunchy as if there was dust or sand in it. It was on a busy street, we were here at night. But the food was cheap and the service was nice. I can still smell dust in my mouth after eating.

We had a struggle finding an affordable vegetarian place here but this vegan (maybe the only place here) restaurant was very nice. The food was fresh made and the staff was friendly.

The only vegan restaurant in Nungwi - Edit
Very nice venue with colorful jamaican space inside. Clean place with relax zone (including soft coaches and hammoks). Menu is almost full vegan (there are 1 or 2 vegetarian options)which is the widest offer we have seen on Zanzibar.

So thankful to have found this vegan place; all I've been eating in Tanzania as a vegan is potatoes and veggies. The Buddha bowl was amazing and it was huge! Tons of chick peas, hummus, avocado and grilled mango. We also had one of the fresh juices which was excellent. We will definitely be going back. Cash only here.

Great Restaurant with amazing staff - Edit
By accident, I found this lovely place on the main road in Nungwi. I went every night there during my stay beginning of February, 2022.
Read moreErnest and the whole team are amazing. They cook and serve with love 😍 They were singing while cooking in the open kitchen.
The food is soooo tasty and healthy, it's incredible. I found the prices reasonable.
Once they served Samosa and Humus as a greeting from the kitchen for free :-)
I loved the positive spirit of this place and wish you all the best for the enlargement of the restaurant. It is a great concept and will be successful for sure.

we were so excited to find out that there is a vegan restaurant in Nungwi! and one with super delicious food too!
Read morewe got a free samosa with hummus sliced of cucumber and carrot as a starter for free, which was super cute!
we ordered the bowl and garlic bread and it was heavenly! the flavors were an explosion in your mouth! highly recommend the food here! and the best part, we have been told that it's locally owned (which is apparently quite rare on Zanzibar).
the food is a bit pricey (15k for a main, we expected food to be cheaper on Zanzibar in general), but totally worth it! #Veganuary

Only vegan place in Nungwi! - Edit
We found this place by accident driving back to our hotel. The food was very delicious and most importantly - it was made with love. All the people working at Heart & Soul were always in a great mood - singing, dancing, laughing - and it definitely translated into the food. We were welcomed with warmth and friendliness that made us want to come back again and again. Before every meal they gave us some samosas for free, which were really good! We tried the noodles, pasta, burrito, sweet potato salad and they were all amazing! You have to check this place out when in Nungwi.
