More than once, Healthy Alternatives has helped me to buy bulk items that were not on the shelf. It's a convenient, efficient little healthfood store. Definitely recommended.

For a little store, they really have it all. You can get your vitamins, toiletries, pantry goods, fresh produce, and a tasty snack from the cafe all in one spot. They even have fun things like jewelry from local vendors. They offer speakers and classes throughout the year too. Plenty of items for vegans are available.

Family-Owned, My Go-To for Help - Edit
I've been going to Healthy Alternatives for 20 years and always find what I need. Anne and Diane are my go-to locals for any advice on supplements and alternative options. They take time to listen like a knowledgable friend, and offer good solutions, doing research if they need. I never feel like they're trying to sell me something, but genuinely want to help improve everyone's quality of life. I send everyone there without hesitation.
Read moreThe store is big enough to supply a well-chosen selection of basic groceries and plenty of supplements - I've never walked out empty-handed - and their sales are good. Plus there's a small but really fine selection of produce - always very fresh, and local when available!
The only downside is I moved further away, and have to plan my trips there. But they've been in Trexlertown through Giant moving into their shopping plaza, and the openings of Wegman's and Whole Foods, so that tells you something about them. Those places might have more stock, but they don't have the knowledge and care that this family-owned establishment offers.

This place has a decent amount of vegan food not available at wegmans. The carob peanut butter cups are amazing! They also carry my favorite alternative baking company cookies. The best part is they have fresh food-the sandwiches are amazing! My boyfriend lives the rib eye and I love the chicken and tuna salad wraps. They taste so real!!

It's a cute little organic store. They sell some vegan cookies, candies, ice cream, etc. They also have some prepared foods that are vegan/vegetarian, and some vegan friendly beauty products.
