Alright. Definitely expensive but lots of options - Edit
A convenient small health food store with a cafe and juice bar inside and a pre portioned buffet. I got the quinoa salad, three bean salad, and an oatmeal raisin cookie. The salads lacked flavor and salt and were very bland. The quinoa was also very dry. The cookie was pretty gross, not very good texture and just not like a cookie. All though I think they tried to make it a “health food” which is why it didn’t really taste that good. Overall very convenient and they a nice array of vegan stuff outside the premade foods.

Cons: Bland, Cookie was not good, Expensive

Favorite place during my stay in Maui!! - Edit
I love health food stores and this is definitely one of my faves I’ve ever been to! They have lots of options of locally made stuff and they carry some items I haven’t seen in stores for years! They have a deli area with food, smoothies and coffee. The food was excellent and the coffee is amazing. They have lots of grab and go tofu salads and stuff in the salad bars including vegan ranch. The guac is amazing also! I went here nearly every day.

Awesome place to get vegan food, burgers, etc. - Edit
Lots of vegan options here. It’s basically a health food store with a small deli in the back that sells burgers and sandwiches. They also have a cold bar with pre prepared vegan dishes. The people working here were super friendly!

Great grocery & take out spot - Edit
Spot with all the usual go-to vegan supplies & brands. Great place to stock up with some locally made salads and dips. Inside is a take out counter for açaí bowls and sandwiches, some nice vegan options there as well, including a breakfast burrito. Prices are comparable to those elsewhere for those brands.

Tofu chickn sandwich is maybe the best vegan food on Maui 😍 - Edit
Doesn’t taste like chickn at all, just seasoned tofu but it’s delicious. Perfectly refreshing and crisp for a hot day.

Great little grocery shop - Edit
Super nice staff, good selection of everything we needed and vegan options, had a sunshine burger that was delicious and my husband had a portobello mushroom pesto panini and loved it. Found many things less expensive than the Safeway we had gone to.

Small health food store - Edit
This is a small health food store in Kihei. They don’t have as many options as Down to Earth or Whole Foods but it’s a nice local option if staying in Kihei. We went once for groceries and then again for lunch. I got the vegan breakfast sandwich (it was alright) and sunset smoothie (which was delicious).

Great Natural Foods Market with Vegan-Friendly Deli - Edit
So nice to find a great vegan-friendly deli in the heart of Kihei. Myriad sandwich offerings always make me want to return to try them all. I had the vegan sunshine cheeseburger with vegenaise which was exceptionally good. The Mock chicken sandwich was also excellent, and the serving sizes were appropriate.
Read moreThe market also offers a plentitude of healthy options; this market is the best-stocked of all the natural foods markets that I visited in Maui.

Great place to pick up treats and supplies - Edit
Went here on our first day to pick up perishables for Thanksgiving week. Prices were high but I was delighted to find Kitehill Cream “Cheese” and a better selection of Miyoko’s “cheeses” than I can get at home, 100 miles from the factory. Don’t miss the Pono Pies!

Seemed lacking after visiting Down to Earth grocery store earlier in the day, go there instead of you want to stock up on groceries and other prepared delights.

Nice Kihei Natural Market - Edit
Love this store on the south side of Maui. It’s very well stocked with many vegan grocery and fresh food items, and the hot food cafe and salad bar are quite decent (salad bar is better during the day than evening). Yes, it’s pricey, but so is everything on the islands. It’s not as large as Whole Foods or Down to Earth (recommended over Whole Foods) in Kahului, but larger than it looks from the outside. They carry food, vitamins, health care, and personal items. The location in Kihei is very convenient to pretty much all locations in south Maui, parking is somewhat limited, but manageable. Great market!

Avergae - Edit
I stayed in Wailea and this place was the closest health food store, so I came here way more than I should have. I don't know why, but no matter what time of the day I stopped by, the atmosphere was always kind of dead. The bright white lighting certainly didn't help. I got food from the salad bar one evening even though it looked a bit tired at the end of day. It was very underwhelming. This place will do for groceries and travel supplies, but feel free to skip the prepared food.

A vegan paradise! Everything is marked whether it is vegan or gluten-free. So many options in the grocery part. The hot bar food is amazing and so is the deli/cafe food. The staff are super nice and it's a very welcoming environment. Had a smoothie bowl which was amazing!

practically anything a vegan would want - Edit
The grocery store has just about all foods that a vegan would be looking for. Produce, dairy and meat alternatives, starches, and even a variety of vegan junk food. I didn't look into the prepared food that much but they have a lot of vegan options that look really good and are clearly labeled. They also have food you can order like smoothies, juice, and other things, many of the options being vegan

Nice hidden gem - Edit
I enjoyed having a tinier version of Whole Foods closer to where I was staying. The first visit I was searching for aloe vera gel for my insane sunburn. I found what I was looking for an a lot of other awesome stuff. They had a little hot food bar in the middle of the store which I am sure is nice if you eat meat. The cashier was helpful and really nice on my first visit. Unfortunately on my second visit the female cashier wasn't very friendly and seemed like she couldn't wait to go back to her conversation and wanted me to get out. I tried not to let that tarnish my view though. The place was pretty awesome in the end.
