Good Experience! - Edit
Visited in April 2024 - breakfast was absolutely delicious and excellent portion size. Also had a custard pastry and iced latte. Service was OK but they were quite busy and it was a bit slower than expected. I also asked about a specific ingredient and server never returned with an answer unfortunately. Generally good experience and would revisit. Definitely worth booking in advance by the way!

Lovely vegan brunch - Edit
Lovely brunch @havenkitchenandbar in Tunbridge Wells today. It's a great menu with loads of yummy vegan options.
Read moreWe went for the tofu Buddha bowl, which was really fresh and tasty. I loved that it was so colourful and full of crunchy veggies. We also had the vegan breakfast muffin with Plantbased sausage, tofu 'egg' & cheeze.
The perfect comfort food!
Really loved it here, wish it was closer so we could go more often!
Pros: Lovely menu, Delicious food, Lots of vegan options

Mostly vegan with some vegetarian tapas dinner - Edit
The dinner menu is mainly tapas style and having nearly sampled everything on the menu it’s incredible, especially the Korean cauliflower and satay tofu. We were a party of vegan and meat eaters and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Cocktails are also lovely and very welcoming staff there!

Excellent menu & delicious food - Edit
We had Mac n cheese, chick'n and no-beef burgers as well as some whipped hummus. All very nice. The coffee was very pleasant too.
Read moreThe restaurant has been renamed from the Plant Base to The Haven and is no longer 100% vegan.
It is now vegetarian, i.e. they now also serve eggs, dairy and halloumi. Amusingly, they charge 50p extra for dairy milk in coffee.

Very nice ambiance, great wallpaper, tasty food with a variety of options. We ate a tasty brunch here, with a cake to take away. They have a room upstairs available for hire for a larger party. Well worth the walk here, and we are very happy to support this independent establishment!

Excelent healthy food - Edit
This is still very good, but I preferred the original menu with the subtle textures and flavours in the range of Buddha bowl - although new things cake are particularly good - Burger and chips is not really my thing though it is okay. Power for your laptop is not offered now.

I work from home which means I don't work too much in my house but work from somewhere with Wi-Fi and power. But I say Plant Base is not a fuel stop, but very enjoyable.
The food is excellent nothing over spiced, sweetened or hot - so there is no regrets later - I feel each time I visit that it is going to be good and enjoyable. Basically heath food that happens to be vegan.
I have eaten a number of times and had most of the things on the lunch menu, but not the different combinations. The combinations I have chosen work very well together.
I have also had the overnight soaked oat porridge, it is surprisingly smooth and nice - traditional way of making porridge my mum tells me.

Fab food! - Edit
Fab food and service. My giros was really good albeit quite spicy 🥵. They did offer me extra vegan yogurt sauce which helped! A little pricey for lunch food but it was nice.

Stunning and Tasty 😋 - Edit
I’ve been going to The Plant Base since they opened three years ago and they’ve gone from strength to strength. The food is not only always beautifully presented it is also consistently delicious. You can see the love and care that goes into every dish and you can be comforted by the fact that every mouthful is fully plant based and packed with high quality healthy ingredients. An absolute must if you’re in Tunbridge Wells, vegan or not! 🌱
