It's neither fruity nor amazing nor special - Edit
I had the toast with strawberry (700¥). There were 3 thin slices of strawberry in there and a LOT of cream and a bit toast. That's all. Nice for to go but absolutely nothing special.

Amazing! - Edit
I stopped here twice on my 4 days in Tokyo. I’m so glad I got to try these. They are amazingly delicious. I got the strawberry one and orange one. The strawberry one is my favorite! They are priced at 700 each, which I don’t think is all that bad. It equates to around $5 USD, which I think is a good price. The worker is also extremely nice. My favorite spot in Tokyo so far.

A naughty treat - Edit
Oh my goodness this certainly lived up to the hype!! Such a naughty indulgence of white bread, whipped cream and fruit. But at the same time not overly sweet. The portion size is really decent as well. Definitely would recommend checking them out earlier in the day as a few flavours were sold out when we went later in the afternoon.

A special treat - Edit
I've never had a fruit sandwich before - it was so special to eat something that I have only ever seen in anime! The sandwiches even looked like they fell out of an animation, they were so cute. The taste was, well, melt in your mouth soft and creamy and sweet. We tried the orange version.
Read moreA word of caution: we walked by this stall at approx 12 noon and they were already sold out of 2 of the 4 flavors on offer. Glad to see these vegan desserts are popular, but it was dissapointing to miss out on the strawberry one.

Wow. - Edit
These were literally perfect. The bread was fantastic and chewy, the cream was sooo good and it was just sweet enough. We kept ordering more-- had 2 strawberry ones and one orange. The strawberry is the best. The watermelon juice was just alright, but very fresh and not too sweet. A bit messy to eat especially in 95 degree weather, and a bit pricey compared to the non-vegan alternative. Definitely worth it though.

Worth it for the novelty - Edit
Very tasty, a bit expensive like others said but it’s fresh, sweet and tasty so it hits all the boxes. A bit awkward to eat and they also sell vapes? Loved the sandwiches.

Sehr lecker - Edit
Hatte ein Sandwich mit Strawberrys, auch wenn 700 Yen nicht billig sind war es sehr lecker und fluffig, würde sagen es war eine Art Sahne/Schmand Creme. Kann ich empfehlen!😄

Basically like a cake! - Edit
Had to rush to get there before the closing time (quite early), but I don't regret it. I had the strawberry sandwichs, it was a 10/10. Felt fresh, not too sweet, and reminded me of a strawberry cake which I haven't had in years. Would visit again!

Good but expensive - Edit
My first strawberry cream sandwich! It's fantastic! However, the price is quite steep at 600¥ and the regret started to set in after the great sandwich was eaten within approx. 60 seconds.

Vegan fruit sandwiches - Edit
I had never tried a fruit sandwich before, but I’m so glad I did! They had a variety of flavors, including kiwi, chocolate banana, strawberry, etc. They also had drinks including alcoholic and non alcoholic mojitos, which were really good and refreshing. The cream is soy based and the bread is made with soy milk. It’s also very close to Sensoji Temple, so it’s a great vegan snack if you’re visiting.

A tasty treat on a busy street - Edit
We’re here during golden week so I believe this area isn’t always as crazy as it was today but when we went the surrounding area (with Kaminari-mon and everything) is insanely busy which can be a bit off putting. But there was luckily not much of a line at Hatoya itself.
Read moreThey have four choices: strawberry, kiwi, chocolate-banana and pineapple. We tried everything but the pineapple.
The strawberry was our favorite - it’s like a strawberry shortcake. Then kiwi, then chocolate-banana. The chocolate cream isn’t as good as the regular cream used in the kiwi and strawberry sandwiches. But if we were only to have gotten the chocolate-banana, I think we’d still have enjoyed it a lot.
Pros: Delicious
Cons: Busy area, Packaging was hard to open

Best whipped cream ever - Edit
I put off coming here because it’s out in Asakusa with short opening hours, but after 2 months I finally planned the better half of an afternoon around coming here and am so glad I did :)) The strawberry and pineapple were the ones that weren’t sold out yet and I got both. The whipped cream in the sandwiches is the best vegan I’ve had! Overall the sandwiches are a lot like an Asian fresh fruit cake - my favorite cake that relies a lot on having good, fluffy whipped cream with a base taste that can stand up for itself.
Read moreIf you’re looking for a sign of whether you should make the trek, yes go! If you can’t make it to Asakusa, Komeda Is in Ginza also serves strawberry sandwich. I didn’t try it but it’s probably good too.

I was so happy to find this place, I thought I just wouldn’t get to try a cream sandwich. You can’t tell the whipped cream is vegan. They gave me ice packs since I was taking them to go. 700 yen each
