Not so Hasty but VERY TASTY - Edit
My friend and I were recommended to go here after arriving during the evening in Darjeeling! It’s 100% pure veg and made to order. The staff understood all our questions and queries and were happy to accommodate our dietary requirements. Minimum wait time is 30mins as food is made fresh on the spot - definitely worth the wait. We both got the North Indian Thali which came with Dal and 4 veg Curry’s with Rice and Chapati for around 190rp. Ask for no curd if you are DF.

unfriendly - Edit
I walked in and said hello and the staff ignored me and i walked out again. This happened twice and i gave up. The place was near empty the several meal times when i walked past, apart from staff sitting around doing nothing. Take your own soy milk? The only soy milk i could find in Darjeeling was in a small supermarket downhill in the first street right from the post office (i think) and that soy milk listed (cow) milk as an added ingredient.

Glorious mountain views if you get window seats. - Edit
Opposite Planter's Club - on Chowrasta.
Read moreLocals love Hasty Tasty - tourists go crazy about it.
Very good value.
You order & pay at the counter - you get a token - your food comes to the counter & they call out your number.
Not fast, fast - ......but then nothing is very fast in Darjeeling!
Reasonably 'clean' by local standards.
Hasty Tasty gets really, really crowded at 'meal times' - I had to wait for around 20 minutes for a table one lunchtime when I came with 4 friends - then another almost 30 minutes for all of our food to come - visits at other times get you a table faster.
Glorious mountain views if you get window seats.
Can be very noisy if lots of families are waiting for their food.
I usually go for thalis & ask them to remove any yogurt dishes.
Order carefully - dairy heavy menu - especially with cheese tainted dishes.
About salads / raw veggies - you decide - I never had a problem.
No soya milk - carry your own with you if you want milky tea or coffee.
