Cute Place

There were a lot more vegan /vegetarian options than I expected. I ordered the breakfast bowl without goat cheese which was very good but a little bland. Had a delicious winter drink with oat milk foam. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone with dietary restrictions.

Pros: Seasonal drinks, Savory and Sweet options, Lots of seating

Great atmosphere

I was very happy to find this place while on vacation. I love supporting local spots. Fun atmosphere, great customer service and good food in portion sizes that are actually appropriate instead of feeding a family of 4. I had a veggie quinoa bowl which I found quite filling. Also enjoyed an oatmilk pumpkin spice latte. Definitely recommend.

Pretty good

I don’t know why there are so many negative people commenting on here. Very cute place with great and fast service. Good amount of options including Avi bowls, salads, savory bowls, avocado toast, and veggie burritos now can be made with Vegan Cheese! They had a sign on their counter. I don’t think it’s on the online ordering yet though. Oh and great coffee with many milk alternatives.
I will say that the avocado toast was lacing avocado which was disappointing.
But I liked it. Recommend

Disappointed

Made the stop here while traveling through the city. Was super excited to try some options as some things are labeled vegan on the menu. I told the person taking the order that I am severely allergic to dairy and asked about the avocado toast and the bagels. I was told they couldn’t tell me what was in the bagels as they are not made in house. If you’re going to serve food you should probably know what’s in it, yeah?

I decided just to get a black coffee and no food. Wouldn’t recommend for vegans/those with allergies.

Mediocre at best

My Omni husband and I went here. On the plus side, they have almond, oat and coconut milk. No soy milk. One veggie bowl was available, served inexplicably with an overly sweet sauce (probably out of a jar) and smooth peanut butter on the side. The roasted veggies were a lot of carrots, some cabbage and a few mushrooms and onions. They were barely even trying. Edible, but that was about it. I ordered a Lady Grey fog, which was a mixture of steamed milk and tea. It came reeking of lavender syrup, and not tasting at all like actual Lady Grey tea. It was disgusting and I could only get down a few sips. On the plus side, hubby said that his (non-vegan) scone was good. But they didn’t have ANY dark roast coffee at all. A coffee house. No dark roast. Maybe it’s a SD thing? The locals love this place, so something I. Here must be decent? Anyway, do yourself a favor and eat at the Pita Pit instead.

Pros: Has plant milk, You can eat something here , Cute place

Cons: Food was bland and strange, Fog was disgusting, No dark roast

Meh

It's good for South Dakota. I got the veggie bowl. It was inexplicably served with peanut butter as a side sauce along with sweet and sour sauce. It was fine and I'm grateful to have found fresh vegetables in Rapid City. They also have three non-dairy milk options for their drinks. Nothing on the menu is labeled vegan so you'll have to guess/ask.

Main Street Coffee Shop w/some Vegan options

After several days of camping in Custer State Park, we loved finding this place for fresh salads, veggie bowl and avocado toast. The coffee and teas were outstanding. The place is a bit pricey, but worth it for fresh fare.

Pros: Fresh salads, Friendly staff, Hip, well lit atmosphere

Cons: Expensive

Love this cafe!

Popped into Rapid City for a few days, and was staying right around the corner. Given that there aren’t a ton of vegan options here, this place was a welcome gem. Plenty of vegan options, like different açaí bowls, granola, Buddha bowls, etc. The food was all excellent, the coffee is delicious, the people are super nice, and I love the hipster vibe of the place. Suspect I’m eating here every day I’m in town 😀

Pros: Good amount of vegan options , Cool space, Great coffee

NOT worth it

Interior is nice and clean. Very refreshing.

However, I disagree that the food is worth it. Not even the coffee is worth it. The guy with short brown hair and a right eyebrow piercing was the least helpful he could've been. Just was not very friendly and sorta gave me this "well it'd be easier if you weren't vegan" attitude. I felt that most of them acted that way but the guy with blonde hair and wearing a pink shirt w/ a navy blue mask was very nice and refreshing.

The avocado toast was subpar and they are fazing out hummus so that's a huge bummer. The coffee was flat and lacked roasted flavor.

The town really needs a place like this to give it the edge for a vegan friendly restaurant. It just feels like a lazy attempt to say "vegan friendly" when they clearly aren't even capable of having actual options.

It was a real shame because I was so excited to try the food.

Pros: Clean, open atmosphere

Cons: Expensive little portions, Unfriendly/unhelpful staff, Poor excuse for vegan friendly :(

Great food & atmos, small portions

Food was quite delicious, coffee surprisingly good, and a sweet light-filled high-ceilinged atmosphere. Lofted second floor for bonus points. All that said, Buddha bowls were shockingly small for the $10 price tag. Sandwiches probably a better bet for your $

Sidenote: great place to camp with your laptop/book

Pros: Quality food & ingredients, Pleasant interior

Cons: Expensive, Small portions

Had vegan Buddha bowls but way too small

We had the Thai and East meets west bowls. I want to be appreciative that we found vegan options open in Rapid City but the portion was way too small for a 10.00 bowl. It definitely has a great taste. They close at 6 and we got there at 5. They were already sweeping and putting all the chairs on the tables.

Cute Atmosohere

Really love the decorations and set up of the coffee shop itself. It’s a lovely spot to relax and chat with company or read a book. They have a very large open space and pretty decent coffee. I was impressed by the coffee but don’t count on a lot of vegan snacks. When I went there they had run out of the one vegan pastry they were offering and were not getting some more in until later that week so expect some of the vegan snacks to be out of stock which might just mean a drink instead. Still highly recommended as a cute location for some relaxation.

Pros: Vegan Drinks , Lovely decorations

Cons: No guaranteed vegan treats

Love this place!

The coffee is amazing and I was able to make the breakfast bowl vegan (do wish it had black beans/mushrooms/tofu as an option instead of egg. :) I wish we were staying an additional night to try another dish!

Pros: Several vegan options , Coffee is amazing...like cafe de olla , Decor is adorable

Cons: Just wish it was fully plant-based

vegan and gluten free options

This place was very hip and had a great feel to it. As far as vegan items they had 3 types of Buddha bowls available which also happened to be gluten free. I got the “east meets west” and my boyfriend got the falafel bowl. Both were very tasty but too small. We were still hungry after we were finished.
