Rather disappointing - Edit
They have a handwritten vegan menu that is quite limited and nothing exciting.
Read moreThe food (miso ramen noodles) didn’t taste like much… a lot of noodles with a limited amount of vegetables.
Their menu could easily be made more vegan friendly but they don’t seem to be interested in that.

Quick snack 👍 - Edit
Popped in mid afternoon for a quick bite - 8 piece large veggie roll and 2 tofu nigiri. The waiter was very welcoming and helpful, and checked dietary requirements. Nice cosy vibe, open kitchen downstairs and seating upstairs including some authentic looking sunken dining tables. We are fans of veggie sushi and this lived up to expectations.

Delicious Japanese food in central Canterbury - Edit
Not a totally vegan place but completely happy to amend dishes to be vegan. We ordered the vegetable Yakisoba, Traditional Tokyo Ramen, Agedashi tofu and cucumber Maki. Came quickly and was absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Vegan-friendly - Edit
My roommate and I are both vegans and good friends with the staff (my roommate works next door)...they are aware of vegan requirements and happily create vegan dishes. Tell them Corey and Monica sent you!

Amazing ramen - Edit
My favorite food restaurant in Canterbury! Great for both vegans/veggies/meat eaters - everyone catered for here (although check ahead for allergy information) So welcoming and warm and amazingly tasty.
Read moreCan get pretty busy and waiting times sometimes a little long, especially in their new premises where most of the restaurant is upstairs (ask ahead for accessibility as I am not sure on this).
Always amazing food, big portions and really reasonable prices. Also do a collection takeaway service if you want to eat your Ramen in the comfort of your own home where no one can see you slurp the broth!!!
...Also, if you are craving ramen it's 10x better than a wagamama

Stupidly good - Edit
I genuinely can't explain how good this restaurant is. Me and my boyfriend go here at least once a week because the ramen is so addictive. Almost all mains can be made vegan upon request and they're very accommodating and friendly. In some restaurants I feel judged by the staff for asking to make traditionally meaty/fish dishes vegan, but they are so lovely and understanding here. It's so good that when me and my boyfriend go out to eat anywhere and rate our meals to eachother, we use this restaurant as the comparison point as it's always 10/10. We've been around 20 times and each time we're literally lost for words. Also amazing prices, we get one ramen huge bowl to share and 8 pieces of sushi each time and it comes to around £18-20. I can't put into words how much I encourage you to go!!!! I have no criticisms.
