Cozy like-home place - Edit
Lovely atmosphere. Delicious food, we had set meals and Indonesian gado-gado, everything was awesome! Kind owner who offered us to try local fruits. You can buy and eat durian right at the cafe 🙂

We were welcomed by the owner Eric, I asked him to choose a traditional dish for me, he chose Nasi Lemak, it was fantastic!

Amazing value - Edit
Really liked my visit here. The vibe was like a grandparent's house, really wholesome and run by an older couple. My food came quickly despite there being 3 big family groups dining in for Chinese New Year.
Read morePros: Very cheap- $12 for 3 dishes , Friendly staff, Great satay
Cons: Not a fan of the mock pork flavour

Chinese style food - Edit
Friendly owner. Informal setting i. e. front room of residential house. Not a buffet, but rather a large selection from menu in S, M & L quantities, which would be suitable for a large party of people sharing. As I was alone, I had 3 selections plus rice and a drink for 10 RM. Tasty enough.
Read morePros: Lots of food options , Round the corner from 1926 Heritage Hotel.
Cons: Not many drink selections.

Fantastic vegan char kuey teow - Edit
Super friendly establishment and great food. Despite Penang being known for char kuey teow, veggie versions are few and far between. This one definitely does not disappoint!

Dinner menu - Edit
There wasn't a buffet at dinnertime, but you could choose 3 items (plus rice) for 10 RM, or order normally from the menu (mostly 8/10/12 RM for S/M/L).
Read moreFood came out very quickly. The taste was fine, not outstanding but not bad.
Be careful of the packaged food though. Every container of the jelly-like dessert that I inspected had mould growing.
