Lovely food, feels like ‘healthy’ fast food. Speedy delivery. So glad I finally got to try the food. Loved the burrito & cauliflower popcorn. Salad was super fresh.

Pros: Taste, Choice , Easy ordering

Cons: Few more side options

Great vegan sushi rolls

Really nice option for lunch - especially in the summers on the beach! The rolls are super tasty and helps that they're also available on delivery apps which is a great plus, especially for hangovers when you're after something a little more fresh / healthier to get you functioning again 😀

Tasty sushi rolls! And charity focused!!

Had a sushi roll at the uk vegan campout. Really nice, and for every meal they serve they donate a meal. They are almost at half a million donated meals!

Festival must

I’ve only ever eaten here at Vegan camp out and Glasto, there is always quite a long queue BUT it’s totally worth the wait (plus it moves quickly). It’s only ever the burrito at festivals but plenty of choice, lovely staff and great flavours. Convenient to eat on the go and would love to head to the restaurant one day.

Pros: Lovely staff, Good portions

Nice place

Burrito and cauliflower popcorn were good, the miso soup was a bit boring (could add tofu).

THE BEST!!

Oh my gosh, you HAVE to check out Happy Maki, this place will absolutely blow your mind. The food is out of this world!

I first tried Happy Maki at Glastonbury and couldn’t stop thinking about it. When I finally got to visit the actual shop, I was over the moon excited—and it did not disappoint. The sushi burritos are packed with incredible flavors, bursting with fresh, vibrant goodness in every bite.

Now, let me gush about Zoey, the assistant manager. She’s the absolute best! Zoey's enthusiasm is so contagious, and she’s just a joy to chat with. You can really tell she loves what she does, and it made our visit even more special. Honestly, she’s one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met.

Pros: The food , Zoey!!!, The food again because it's just so good

Very happy maki

We Had a burrito... Beetroot and basil.. And Buddha bowl, both delicious and reasonably priced. Lovely room too, with good street watching if you're lucky

Pretty disappointing

It's all vegan bowls and sushi burritos! Exciting!
Unfortunately the flavour wasn't there at all for me. I said yes to wasabi in the burrito, and I'm glad I did because without it I don't think I would have tasted anything at all.
The textures were nice. The service was friendly and quick, but for whatever reason I found it absent of flavour. Judging from other reviews other people have had better luck though!

Happy Maki

I have been looking forward to visiting Happy Maki for some time, however my visit left me quite underwhelmed. The quality and flavour of the food didn’t meet my expectations, particularly considering the price point. The satay sauce was basically a runny peanut butter, the burrito didn’t hold together well and fell apart on eating and for me flavour was really lacking. The food was fresh however and arrived quickly. Located up a flight of stairs on the first floor.

Super delicious and lovely vibes

Always really delicious sushi burritos and popcorn cauliflower! Today I had the Avocado Kiss and it was amazing - super fresh and filling and also good value for money.

I stop by whenever I’m in Brighton and love that they have a social cause going on too.

Would recommend!

Pros: Good sushi burrito options , Delicious sides , Good vibes

Great vegan lunch

Fully vegan restaurant serving Japanese style burritos, bowls and snacks. I had a fully loaded burrito and tempura cauliflower, both were delicious. Limited selection of drinks, I had a roobos tea. They don't serve coffee or alcohol. Great place for a casual lunch 👌

Pros: Selection of vegan food, Quick service, Not too expensive

Cons: Would have liked to have a coffee

Absolutely delicious!

Easily one of the best raw meals I’ve ever had. The satay rice and bean bowl were a decent portion and could be split with another person. The tofu pockets had the right amount of sweetness to them. The milkshake was the perfect consistency. It was super filling too. Ready working minutes of ordering. No complaints or cons.

Burrito + Maki = Happy

I would have never thought of it but there is something very satisfying eating maki like a burrito. They had a stand at the Vegan Campout 2023 so it was the occasion for us to try it. So yummy! I wish it wasn't that niche though, because now I would love to find sushi burritos anywhere but it's actually quite rare :)

Lovely sushi wraps

A really interesting spot for a quick lunch or dinner, the sushi wraps are large rolls of sushi rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in seaweed. I went for "sweet chicken" which was sota chunks with avocado, carrots, peppers and sweet chilli sauce. We also had a side of cauliflower bites with a satay dip - they were deliciously crunchy with a firm middle (not mush like they can sometimes end up as) and I'd happily recommend both dishes.

I want all the sushi now!

Before going vegan I never liked sushi so I was still nervous about trying it after becoming vegan. I tried it at the 2023 Vegan Camp Out and now I love it.

Pros: Flavours were delicious , Good value for money , Big portions
