My friend suggested this place, I had the vegan sausage & hash brown bagel, it was simple but sufficient. Nice coffee with oat milk. A kind lady gave us a vegan lemon tart for free, she couldn't eat it, so we did & it was lovely.

Great vegan options both sweet and savoury. I've ordered a takeaway and the issue I had was that the Trilionaire shortbread wasn't included in my order and it was too late to come back by the time I realised that. Coffee was amazing!

Friendly vegetarian cafe - Edit
Happy Bean is a small cafe with friendly staff. They sell a range of drinks, light lunches and cakes. The many vegan options are marked with a ve on the board and signs, however they could be more consistent with this. We had to double check that what we wanted to order was vegan. Eating in vegetarian cafes always makes me a bit nervous that they could mess up my order. In this day it seems more logical to just make all the food vegan since they do have so many options, like the local Nest Coffee and Hunter Gatherer, but at least they exist at all I guess.

Staff need training or race discrimination - Edit
My wife, my son and I went for coffee here today. Two girls were serving. We ordered coffee and drinks to have them inside the restaurants. There was a white couple in front of us who were served in proper porcelain cups and we were served in paper cups. Why did you do that? Was that because we were Asian? Is not that a racist attitude?
