misleading „vegan“ options… - Edit
2nd edit: got the info that pretty much all the vegan-marked dishes contain fish sauce! Won’t visit again!
Read moreEdit: after my last two visits I haven’t been that excited anymore. Today my dish was pretty plain in taste and the pickled garlic in a jar they served us as condiment had some dead fruit flies in it. Downer! Minus one star, therefore 3 stars.
happy that Hanoi replaces the former vietnamese restaurant there, which hasn’t been very vegan-friendly.
Hanoi offers quite a few clearly vegan labeled options and you can basically can get every meal veganized as they use vegan „no fish“-sauce.
Fish sauce is the tricky part when eating asian, cause it’s usually not mentioned in the menu and dishes seem to be vegan (in case you don’t know - now you know ;-))
The food is fresh, veggies are crisp, the fried tofu is good and there is plenty of it.
Portions are lush, overall value is good.
The staff is friendly and dogs are welcome.

I really loved the restaurant. Last time we were there I ordered my curry as always. Because of my celery intolerance I looked in the alIergen list and saw that it contains fish sauce. I talked to the waiter and he and his colleague said that this dish is not vegan although it’s marked. The mark means vegetarian not vegan, they said. But the curry wouldn‘t be vegetarian with the fish sauce. They know about the wrong symbol and always told the guest. I orderd the curry everytime I am there at least over 10 times and always checked with the waiter if the marked option is really vegan. I am disappointed! I am not trusting them on the other dishes. They change the menu soon, maybe I will give them one more try half a year later.

They don't have too much vegan options, but as vegan I'm terrible at deciding so it was kinda good like that. The Lemonades are delicious and the spring roll was fresh and really good. My main dish was not overwhelming, but all in all it was really good!

Read moreAber hier ist man gut aufgehoben. Wahnsinnig nette Angestellte, fantastisches Essen. Ich kanns nur weiterempfehlen. Bin ich iwann mal wieder in Stuttgart, werde ich definitiv wieder dort essen gehen ♡
