Great find in Istanbul - Edit
Small place with home cooked food. No menu, you just choose from what she has cooked on the day. Most options were vegan the night I went there - ordered multiple dishes and all were delicious! Good price - everything in the photos was 160TL.

What a shame - Edit
I came across this restaurant when i first came to Istanbul and back then i was clueless as to where to eat, i was beyond happy as i love homecooked food, i ordered to go and couldn't wait to get back to my motel to try it. Unfortunately everything turned out to be spoiled, like it was days old (it was kept in display outside not in a fridge) i through it in the bin, waste of money and a big shame. I feel sorry writing this for the lady owner was beyond nice and happy to serve me. But it is what it is.

Beware! - Edit
Some employees here have zero knowledge of the vegetarian/vegan diet. I tried explaining to the employee that the chicken they brought me was not vegetarian. I told them I was allergic to dairy (in Turkish) and they still put yogurt on the dolmas. Makes me wonder if the other items on the menu are actually vegan considering how uneducated they are on the topic. Proceed with caution.

Great, homemade food - Edit
I couldn’t really see the menu, but I just asked for vegan options. Lady behind the counter just showed me several different dishes in the pots and since I couldn’t decide - I asked for everything. I could not finish it, but it was delicious. Highly recommend!
