Excellent food - Edit
When our server asked if it was our first visit and then if we had any dietary requirements she brought out a tasting plate of some of the curries. The red ginger curry was out of this world.
Read moreThe owner came out to check on us and was super friendly. We had the Brussels sprouts with mango sauce to start. The menu is clearly marked for vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options. We will definitely be back. This was an excellent dining experience.
Pros: The menu is clearly marked, The quality of the food is excellent , The staff can advise on adaptations
Cons: It would be nice to have tofu as a protein choice

One of my favorite restaurants! - Edit
Hamir does a great job fusing traditional Indian food with complimentary flavors and ideas. We’ve never had anything less than delicious at Hamir’s! I would happily give this restaurant a five-star rating if it were permitted for restaurants that also serve non-vegetarian food.

Vegan Creme Brule (no longer) BUT... - Edit
Loved this place! Had samosas chat which was great and chai creme brule which was AMAZING. Atmosphere was nice, wait staff was friendly, and owner even came to table to check that we were satisfied. Really great restaraunt.
Read moreUpdate: Hamir no longer has the creme brule but still has vegan options and the sauce flavors are so complex and layered. Still highly recommend the samosa chat, but it is only available during lunch hours. The owner still frequently comes out of the kitchen to check in with customers and thank them for dining with him. This is the only Indian restaurant that I've found in York County!
