quick healthy lunch at the main station - Edit
even though i'm quite often at düsseldorf main station, i never tried out haferkater until this week. they have porridges (sweet) and bowls (savoury). roughly ¾ of the porridges are vegan or can be veganized by leaving honey out but some contain honey or dairy - everything is clearly labelled.
Read morei chose the humus bowl which was made with oat rice, cucumber, red cabbage, green salad, chickpeas, pomegranate seeds, humus and a tahin dressing. even though the description says it contains coriander, i would never have guessed that (so if you belong to the coriander-tastes-like-soap-people, this bowl still is a great option:)).
the price of 9,95€ was moderate to cheap. you can substitute 50ct with one of the coupons you get when using the restroom.
staff is very friendly. they also have reusable containers but unfortunately only those from vytal - you need a certain app and only have limited time to give them back. in my opinion, this is too complicated for many so they probably choose the paper containers instead.

Although oats are in their Companys name (Hafer=Oat), it is more expensive than conventional milk. They’ll charge you extra. Maybe they shouldn’t buy the most expensive oat milk which is not even bio (oatly).
