Expansive Menu/Missed Opportunity - Edit
I kept seeing this place recommended online for vegans but was disappointed how few options they actually had. The lentil patty contains egg per the chef. I ended up ordering Maggie’s Veggies sans patty, it was very flavorful but could have been made better with some grains.

Accommodating - Edit
No obvious vegan options really but they did offer to make any thing vegan. I went with the beet nik in a wrap to be safe and it was good with a little veganaise. Sweet potato tots were good too.

Only 1 vegan option. - Edit
Tried to order the vegan lentil burger and was told the patty was not vegan. Wrapped it in a tortilla instead. Staff is rude when asked for ANYTHING. Definitely don’t recommend

Barely any vegan options - Edit
My experience at Gypsy Joynt was not great. I was told everything on their menu could be customizable and be made vegan, the menu has few vegetarian options and the only vegan item is the lentil patty since all of their buns and pizza crusts have dairy and eggs. The only thing on the menu that was accidentally vegan is the Maggie’s Veggies. Staff was very impolite and the food is incredibly expensive.

Vegan and Gluten Free Deliciousness - Edit
I called ahead to ask about the menu, and she was very knowledgeable about vegan and gluten free customizations. I ordered the Veg a Loo, and it was delicious! House lentil patty, spinach, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, red pepper spread, artichoke hearts, spicy dressing (not too spicy) on sweet potato jives. I left off the eggs and feta. She said it was a go-to item for local vegans.

Cons: Not a ton of vegan options, but still good!

Incredibly greasy and salty. Had the lentil burger and sweet potato taters. The burger was so greasy and chunks of salt... But disappointed.

Fun place - Edit
Funky decor with eclectic music. The Cornucopia Salad is fabulous. Several vegetarian options that can be veganized by leaving off cheese and other dairy.

Gypsy Joynt is a very cute counter service restaurant with a variety of vegan options. I was really hungry so I got their lentil burger with fries and it was very good! They also have local craft beer which is always a plus!

Surprisingly Tasty. - Edit
I got the Mr Yunioshi (veganized, with lentil patty, minus cheese) and it was really tasty. The fried brussel sprouts were great (they were drizzled in hot sauce and more roasted than fried, not super greasy). And the jive potatoes I got as a side were basically home made potato chips. Food came out quick and the place is cool looking, complete with a blue Equality flag. Recommend for sure.

Really Cool Place - Edit
The Gypsy Joynt is a fantastic place to eat! They have plenty of vegetarian options, many of which can be made vegan, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Not to mention that the interior was warm, inviting, and intriguing, clearly living up to its name. I'll definitely be going back.

Vegan friendly options! - Edit
Not many vegan choices but vegetarian dishes that can easily be made vegan. Maggie's Veggies (delicious btw) is the only 100% vegan dish besides the chips and salsa/pineapple salsa!
Read moreEverything marked in GREEN on the menu is vegetarian friendly, however, NOT vegan friendly... could remove the dairy from all to make vegan dishes but I don't think the pizza crust is vegan... I have reached out to the restaurant to find out what items are 100% vegan friendly :)
**EDIT** this is what I received back from Gypsy Joynt - boo on the pizza crust containing dairy BUT they are accommodating so that is a plus!
"we have a bunch of vegan friendly options. we can always sub different items to make it work for you as well. our pizza crust does have dairy in it. There are no vegan dessert items at the moment. come in we would be happy to make it work for you!"

Bread and pizza crusts have butter! Pizza sauce has cheese, everything that's fried uses same fryer at meat. Hummus (from MA) had yogurt.

Now for something completely different! - Edit
Great place to hang out and look around. Owned and run by an extended family and the psychedelic shines through their photos and attire. Loved that. We ordered pizza without cheese and one of the owners came by to show us (really!) that there was cheese in the tomato sauce and offered to just use olive oil. I don't eat white flour often, but I have to say their crust (and the pizza) was fabulous. Also love their selection of beers. Would go back in a second and try more things. They do have a lot of meat based meals -- if you want to stay away entirely, that could bother you.
