Splendid food and a good laugh - Edit
Went there and had one of the most delicious dishes ive ever had - the crispy chili beef. Its a must try, as well as the many other options theyve got on their menu. The owner is a genuine character and definitely worth to chat with.

First of all, I’d like to highlight and congrats the chef for the full vegan menu and his passion on every single dish. I went with my friend and we had calamari (made of palm hearts, absolutely delicious!) and cauliflower ceviche as starters. Then, for main course, eggplant moussaka and philly steak sandwich.. no words to describe how tasty it was! It didnt finish there, some yummy chocolates for dessert😄I strongly recommend Gypsy.. for sure I’ll be back!

I visit Gypsy regularly and have many different items from the menu. It's hard to get away from my favorites.😄The pizza, curry, chixken pie, and cheesecake are fantastic. The staff and owner are super friendly. I feel like part of the Gypsy family each time I visit.

They did not have ingredients to make the dishes I wanted so I had to go with empanadas. They were okay, but nothing special. I liked how spicy was the salsa though. It took me a second to even find this location, therefore I cannot give it a higher rating. I would recommend it only if you are already in the mall and want to eat something except for a salad or staples of Arabic (mostly Lebanese) cuisine.

went with a meaty friend and he absolutely loved the sweet and sour wings and the banana blossom and chips. lots of gluten free options too. food a little pricey but drinks v cheap.

Went here twice while in Dubai.
Read moreFirst time was for tea and cake, a vanilla Ponte with strawberry jam which was delicious.
The second time was for lunch, unfortunately we had to wait 45mins for our incomplete meals while the restaurant was not busy - there was only one other person.
I had the “fish” burger which was made from banana blossom served in a bun with a tartar sauce and lettuce.
The “fish was tasty but the bun and sauce was just ok, a bit more sauce and better bread bun would have been better.
Hubby ordered the fish and chips (79 aed) The fish was good, however even after waiting 45 mins there were no chips.
When the chips arrived (another 10mins later) they were soggy and the potato was not properly cooked.
Great creative menu, however it is on the expensive side and service was very slow.

Read moreFirstly, if you are going to visit make sure you are aware that it is in the gourmet food court of the department store - Gallery Lafayette (I think it might be on Level 2?). We couldn't find the listing on Dubai Mall's interactive store plan but then noticed another review on Happy Cow that mentioned where it was. Otherwise, I am not sure that we would have found it.
We had the jack fruit nuggets with cheese and the Banana Blossom Fish and Chips. Both were excellent and we would highly recommend them both.
We were lucky enough to spend some time speaking with the owner who is open and sincere and explained how everything is made from scratch on the premises with only the freshest possible ingredients used - they even fly fresh jack fruit in rather than use tinned. And the banana blossom fish takes a week of preparation to get it as good as it is. It is obvious that everything is made with love, passion and care.
As it was my daughter's birthday the owner invited us back for her favourite dessert - Biscoff Cheesecake and he even put a candle on the top!
Very positive experience with gorgeous food. Do visit if you get the chance.

Had a fantastic meal at Gypsy this week. I had the BBQ seitan wings which were so delicious. Would definitely recommend. Reasonably priced and such excellent quality. Very friendly staff too! All very fresh and cooked to order. Very pleased with this find - will definitely visit again!!

Hidden in the back of Gallery Lafayette this is a real vegan restaurant. Servings are American style and the pricing Swiss style.

Amazing menu with so many comfort food options, it was difficult to choose! We met the owner who was really friendly, and our food was great! We had cauliflower soup, jackfruit nuggets and the chicken and leek pie. Portions were a good size too.
