Good spot!

Nice vegetarian options, the gyoza was delicious. We also ordered dessert gyoza (filled with red bean) which was unique. Nice drinks! Please expect a wait, there always seems to be a line outside.

Pros: Vegetarian/vegan friendly, Cozy location, Quick service

Cons: Long wait

Delicious, hot and fresh

Ate the vegan ramen and vegetable gyozas with red bean-paste gyozas for dessert.
Note: the tofu in all the dishes is apparently NOT vegan - it contains a small amount of milk.
English-speaking very helpful staff. Great service.

Would give 5 stars!

Super delicious and cheap vegetarian (some vegan) options! Everything was very tasty and the service was very fast even though things are made to order. The restaurant is on the smaller side and my group of 4 arrived at 9:45 (on a weekday) and were sat immediately. Veggie gyoza were delicious and I highly recommend the fresh sliced tomato, I ordered it twice! The cucumber salad is good, the cucumbers are fresh but a bit salty. Bean sprout salad is also good. The servers all speak fluent English. I would definitely come back.

Pros: Affordable , Speak fluent English , Fast service

Cons: None

vegetarian ramen and fried dumplings

This restaurant offers many vegetarian meals, and even has a special menu for vegetarian food. However, their vegetarian ramen noodles are a bit tough and the soup is ordinary. The veggie dumplings are unique, but the filling is not salty enough and must be served with soy sauce and spicy oil.

Nice place

Friendly staff, good food. A bit of a wait outside. We were sat at a 4 person table with another couple, which was fine. We had a several smaller dishes (8 gyozas won't filk you), which came as they got ready and it was all good food.

Nice gyoza and sides

The vegetarian menu is mostly all vegan, allergens are listed with each menu item. Good place if you have non-vegans in your group. We arrived at around 20:00 on a Tuesday and waited for about 40 minutes.

Pros: Good number of vegan options , Friendly staff

Lacks some flavour

Nice staff, reasonable prices and detailed information about ingredients (compared to other places in Japan). On the downside we waited a long time to get a place and the vegetarian gyoza and ramen didn’t have much flavour.

Great place to drink, just okay for food

This spot had a warm, friendly atmosphere and a good selection of local sakes and plum wines. It’s a great bar to start at on the Dotonbori. I think you will have a better experience if you go into the food expecting it to be “bar fare”. The gyoza, veggie ramen, and edamame were good enough but definitely lacked the oomph to make them great.

It was fine

I was expecting to be blown away by these gyoza's but honestly they were a bit meh. We waited about 40mins in line which was fine, and we ordered the lightly fried gyoza. Honestly the least enjoyable ones we've had in Japan so far. I liked that the menu had allergens on and there were a number of vegan options.

No Gyoza, no life 🥟

So happy to have found a place that served vegan gyoza on our last night in Osaka. We really loved this place, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The gyoza were delicious. I also had the Sake heated up which was delicious.

Pros: Vegan Gyoza !!, Good prices, Lovely staff

RAMEN

Loads of good vegetarian options, menu wasn’t explicit about what was vegan but there were options. Gyoza we’re good and ramen was decent, recommend asking for the spicy version… not too hot but gives it a little kick.

good food, popular place

we got some vegan gyozas which were really good, so got the vegetable ramen which was nice but nothing special. There was a short queue outside so had a wait and ended up shared a sit down table for 4 with 2 other people, would be nicer up at the bar I think

Best vegan place in Osaka. Great options on the vegetarian menu which clearly stated which items were vegan. We had the vegan gyoza (twice as it was so good) , edamame and vegan ramen. Super tasty and a good price at only £25 for two including two beers.

Pros: Easy to navigate the menu, Very tasty , Friendly staff

Cons: None

They've run out of vegan options

We've arrived around 7pm and were told that out of the impressively large vegan menu they've run out of everything except gyozas and edamame. It might be worth giving them a call beforehand or arriving a little earlier?
The gyozas were fine, I was told other non-vegan options were good too. I enjoyed the selection of umeshu with an option to try a choice of 3 kinds.
Once the place got busy we had to wait quite a long time to be served - understandable given that there were only 2 people working there at the time.

Kampai! 5 Star Gyoza & Miso

Cute and fun! Staff are awesome. Reasonably priced. Tasty Gyoza. Miso with actual vegetables! Excellent range of Japanese alcohol in a friendly and comfortable space. One tiny step inside and not too squishy for this big tourist. Will be back for sure. 😊

Pros: Tasty. Many vegetarian options. , Vegan friendly.

Cons: Off the busy part of Dontonbori but worth it.

Great Gyoza

I went here a few times because I have an addiction to the veggie gyoza here. They have a dedicated vegetarian menu in English. Next time I'm in Osaka, I'll definitely come back.

Update: I've gone back a few times since. Consistently delicious. There's a lot of foreigners so I was even able to meet some new people.😄Really great spot! Love that it's open late. If you go, do yourself a favor and try the plum wines!! They are incredible 😍

Delicious

I can’t say enough about this place. Tons of vegetarian options, friendly staff, English menu, and a separate vegetarian/vegan menu.

The veggie ramen had a toasted sesame flavor with lots of veggies and noodles. The gyoza was fabulous too.
