Plant-based eatery based in Doncaster market, not the woolmarket. Menu changes frequently. Food is made in-house and includes hot and cold meals and drinks. Location is tricky so look on Google Maps. Confirmed closed, Oct 2019.

Unexpected excellence

Would never have thought of going to Doncaster for a top quality vegan nosh up. But here it is. A great range of food all lovingly cooked and presented. It feels like a bold statement situated in the same vicinity as butchers. Don’t let that put you off though please support. Very friendly owner.

Pros: Wide range of dishes, Nice tea range, Friendly owner

Cons: Tucked away in corner, Near butchers

Unlike Any Other Vegan Place

Based on my previous experiences with Vegan restaurants, I wasn't expecting much, but this place completely shattered my expectations. The food was really good and unlike usual Vegan food it looked like actual food and not a piece of modern art. Also, unlike usual Vegan food, it was quite filling. I felt full and felt it for hours.

The food looked very much like real non-veg food, which as a life-long vegetrian I found a bit tricky to deal with. But after confirming several times that it was indeed vegan, I enjoyed it. Hence, the overeating. But I was there to check it out for my vlog so wanted to try as many things as possible. My non-vegetarian friend enjoyed it as well so I think it's a good place for everyone to try.

It is a small place and pretty much a one-woman operation. That means everything is cooked to order and not mass produced. This could mean slow service but at the moment it doesn't, because it's not very crowded yet. When it does start getting crowded, and I am sure it will, they will need to staff it up to keep the same quality of food and service. But that's the future. For now, it's a nice, small eatery for you to try and enjoy. I can highly recommend it based on my own experience.

Pros: Excellent Food, Normal Looking Food, Great service

Cons: Part of the food hall

Fab little vegan cafe in the most unlikely of places!

We were spoilt for choice on our trip to Doncaster as all the food looked temptingly delicious. We chose the not chicken Cesar salad as we were trying to be healthier than normal. 😂 the presentation was lovely and the salad and chicken pieces lovely too. We
Had a bun for desert which was shaped in a doughnut shape and lovely. Would definitely visit again. I would definitely advise vegans and veggies to head for the entrance near the cafe though to the market. To find this entrance as you are walking down from the frenchgate direction to the market take your 1st right to skirt around the edge of the market then 1st left.
The door to the food court/fish market/meat market is located opposite the woolpack pub. The cafe is the nestled in a corner and has some seating which is fab! Lovely counter and a refreshing change to find somewhere like this up north! And on a market!

Friendly owner and freshly made food

Great to find an all vegan place in Doncaster. Lots of cakes on display but we stuck to savoury. Scrambled tofu was excellent with lots of flavour. Pulled bbq jackfruit burger was also lovely. All made freshly to order.
Takes cash, cash point very close.

Pros: Tasty , Great value , Friendly owner
