Enticing, warm, friendly, tasty, makes you want to go again - Edit
I really enjoyed my recent visit to Guilt-Free Pleasures which I made as part of a social group of vegans. The owner Lauren made us very welcome and explained all the things available. It is a very intriguing menu as besides being entirely vegan it also avoids gluten and refined sugar. They are therefore finding other ways to make baked or sweet items. A lot of use is made of protein powder as well as pea milk and peanut butter (oat milk having gluten in it). There are 10 or so lunch items available, all day breakfast, protein pancakes/waffles/'croffles' (combination of croissant and waffle), dessert baked goods, a wide range of smoothies, and many hot drinks. That is to eat in, but to take away you can have many of the same but also 'treat bags' of six or more goodies.
Read moreI had a ciabatta with shicken (meat replacement), which came with nachos and a dip, and the delux version of pancakes, which came with whipped cream and flaked almonds. To drink a peach ice tea followed by an unusual smoothie. Everything I and my companions had was absolutely lovely. Considering how many extras are added, and how much some of the specialist ingredients must cost, it's amazing how low the prices are. Guilt-Free Pleasures has limited opening hours, a small scale of premises, and is no doubt in a cheaper rent area than the posher areas of Nottingham, but even so the cost level is as much an attraction as the tastiness, imaginativeness of the range, and friendliness of the staff.
A must-visit for vegans looking to eat out in the Nottingham area.
Pros: Taste, Healthiness, Cost, friendliness
Cons: No toilet (but it's a minor issue), Smallness of premises, Online presence e.g. no website, menu

I absolutely love Guilt Free Pleasures! Whether it's for a coffee and bag of treats (pizza rolls, cheese straws and peanut butter cups are absolute faves!) Or having a breakfast or lunch, everything is beautiful and tasty. You absolutely wouldn't know that everything is gluten free and vegan - everyone should try Guilt Free Pleasures!

My favourite café - Edit
Guilt free pleasures is a small independent café and takeaway, and is my favourite place to eat. I go for brunch there at least once a week most weeks, even when my money is running slightly low! The prices are very, very reasonable! The owner is such a lovely chilled out person, and she puts up with my indecisiveness and rambles!
Read moreThere are no toilets in the café, but it's near enough to Hucknall highstreet. There's now a second table as well as a bench 😁
The smoothies here are so tasty, as is all the food I've tried! Delicious "healthier" cakes and bakes, protein waffles and protein pancakes, as well as savoury meals, and snacks, smoothie bowls, hot drinks, and a few other "breakfasty" menu items. I'm obsessed with the protein flapjacks. GFP is so unique and I would be genuinely sad if it shut down, so I'm hoping it never comes to that!
I 100% recommend GFP!!

Must visit for decent vegan food - Edit
We came here for lunch on our way to Gaust Fest at Papplewell Pumping Station. I had the sticky tofu with dip and rice and my husband had a cottage pie in a sweet potato. And then we bought a treat bag containing 6 sweet yummies between us. Utterly yum.

A little gem - Edit
Scrumptious cakes, lots of options and great value. I had the dark chocolate, peanut butter and jam slice - it was heaven! Then pancakes loaded with fruit and peanut butter. Also very nice. Worth going out your way for this place.

A real GEM, worth a trip - Edit
Via the app I found this absolute treasure. The owner makes a large range of raw and cooked sweet treats, protein waffles, gorgeous smoothies and savoury dishes. It's worth a trip too for take out or too eat in the small sit down area. If this was in another location it would be mega expensive so go visit. It's so nice to find a vegan place with healthy choices. Hats off to the female led business!!!

Delightful, Delicious and Passionate - Edit
An excellent Vegan and Food-Ethical oasis - well worth seeking out if you’re visiting or passing through this region of the UK. The use of plastic containers was a problem for me initially but Lauren the proprietor explained that the containers are washed and reused if appropriate or composted in her own facility if disposal is necessary.

Thank you for the lovely review. I'd like to assure you we are also against single use plastic. Our 'plastic' packaging is vegware, made from plants not plastic. It is also fully compostable and any used packaging onsite is taken and we compost it ourselves. We also recycle packaging we recurve from our suppliers. Thanks again for the lovely review ?

Such a treat! - Edit
Such a treat to find a place like this in Hucknall, even more so that it’s a 100% vegan. The owner is lovely and even let me have a little sample of pea mylk which I’d yet to try. It’s delicious btw! Good selection of other mylks for hot drinks too. They offer breakfast and lunches, as well as gorgeous little treats. I opted for the tofu and noodle satay dish to takeaway along with the peanut butter cups. Both were delicious, I think the peanut butter cups will be a new favourite of mine! Everything is gluten free and refined sugar free too, but this doesn’t mean it’s lacking in flavour. The price I found was incredibly reasonable, I’ll be stocking up next time. Bonus having some time limited free on street parking and a small indoor seating area. I’ll be returning ASAP!
