A lovely place - Edit
Two years ago my wife and I visited Shiora-san's place. Her coffee was excellent. The traditional house was quite cosy. We enjoyed her company and that of her husband, both very nice people. We'll return when we are in Takayama a next time.

Old Japanese style cafe, really cozy and lovely.

I had a chai latte and a apple cake! Really tasty (specially the crust!).
