Large delicious portions

Got a chile rellano burrito with mushroom carnitas. Oh wow , was this thing big! I should have split it for two meals, but instead I opted to overstuff myself. Couldn't resist, it was just too good
Also had an assortment of miniature cheezecakes which were so cute and so yummy
Need to go back when I'm not working to try the Michelada

Pros: All vegan!, Mix and match style menu, Full of flavor

Cons: Mildly expensive, but so worth it

Pricey but great

I ordered the most expensive burrito which is the chile relleno burrito, it was $16 which is way too much for a burrito but wow was it good. So I won't go often, but every once in awhile. As other people have mentioned some of the other stuff is a bit pricey too.

Awesome place!

This place was so good! A little pricey: I got a Tostaco and one of their specialty lemonade and it came to $26. But the meal an drink was big enough for half of it to be eaten later.

Definitely try the lemonade there.

Also the restaurant was a little hard to find, you have to head towards the theater and you'll see it to your right.

Pros: All vegan, Cool vibe, Nice workers

Cons: A little pricey

Lovely new find!

Great vibe here. Good tunes, super nice people, cool ambiance. I got the pineapple mint drink - fresh squeezed with pineapple chunks (yum!) and the enormous Fiesta Bowl with the mushroom carnitas. Almost got all my GBombs in one sitting. Can’t wait to come back and try the chilaquiles.

Pros: So many good choices, Super friendly staff, Close to the gym

Cons: Plastic fork, wah. Should’ve brought my own.

Yummy and healthy Mexican food

This place is not close to home for us but the food is worth to come back for. It is one of the best vegan/plant based Mexican establishments we have tried.

This place has fresh vegetables and quinoa. It is definitely the healthier side of being a vegan Mexican restaurant. It also doesn't just have fake meats and vegan cheeses. There are plenty choices of proteins and not all of them are fake meats. The colorful look of vegetables is what you are going to see when you order the bowls.

We had their Fiesta Bowl and Avocado Lime Quinoa bowl. As a protein we tried the Soyrizo and Mushrooms Carnitas. The protein was not salty but tasty. I especially love the mushrooms carnitas which is made of oyster mushrooms I believe.

Hubby ordered Minty Pineapple Lemonade and it had chunks of fruit, not just liquid. It was delicious. I ordered the vegan Champurrado and it was perfectly sweet and warm. It was like drinking hot sweet dessert that I could savor for a long time. It was also delicious.

We ordered more to bring home: Burritos and Pozole. Things that are good to take home (not crunchy tacos, for example). Since we had to drive 26 miles we wanted to make it worth the drive and not to have to cook for the next day.

The only thing is that the place is hard to find and to look for from your car. You really have to park and walk into the shopping center. It is right by the Cinemark movie theater. There is a large nice patio on the outside of it, next to The Olive restobar. #Veganuary

Pros: Lots of vegan proteins that are not fake meat, Service was quick and friendly , Tasty but not salty, provide fresh vegetables

Cons: Not close to home , Hard to find from car

Sooo Goooood!

I’ve been a fanatic of this restaurant since their inception of a vegan menu. Believe it or not, they use to sell vegan dishes as an option. They went 100% vegan some time after but then a restaurant that sells chicken (sounds like ick-e-lay) ran them off by placing their business as the only food restaurant. It was a blessing in disguise!

You can now enjoy they’re return at the new location in the Promenade of Downey. So much better!

They’re cuisine varies from burritos to pozole (one of my favs) to tostadas de ceviche. My mouth waters from the mere thought of their menu. The plus now is their menu include beer on tap and IPA’s along with a Watermelon Seltzer. You need to visit this place if ever in the Downey area. It’s conveniently placed outside of the movie theater. You can see a flick and come out to have some delicious grub before going home happy and full.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do…SALUD!

Pros: Outdoor seating, Beer on tap, Plenty of Mexican vegan dishes

Cons: Can get full of customers but line moves along
