Vegan Sunday - Edit
We were impressed by the atmosphere at first sight, everything was very relaxed. We tried food from three different food trucks. Everything was very tasty and there were some things we hadn't tried before, like Japanese pancakes. The beer was also really good. :-)

Vegan Sundays are amazing! - Edit
Fully vegan on a Sunday! Always a great selection of different vendors, most with GF options. Had the pleasure of visiting when the Gluten Free Pie Company were there and it was HEAVENLY. Honestly couldn’t remember the last time I had pie & chips and it was the best I’ve ever eaten. A proper event and definitely worth heading into Manchester on a Sunday for!

Love the fact that Grub is fully vegan on Sundays! @gwafuvegan @yesdoughnuts @veganhousefoods @sababichmcr were the 4 food stalls today - there are different stalls every week.
Read moreI had the @gwafuvegan puff puff with beans and the plantain plus they gave me some rice to try as I was torn between dishes! My husband got @veganhousefoods dirty fries and hot dog. We got @yesdoughnuts milk n’ cookies and salted caramel biscoff bomb.
Got apple juice, ginger beer, chai latte (cold in a can) and lemonade from the bar there.
It’s a cool venue with sheltered outdoor seating, you can sit inside too if you choose but outside is much lovelier.
Would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Check out their Instagram for news on who will be there that weekend. Vendors are always delicious. A personal favourite of ours is Oh Mei Dumplings. Be quick. By evening, many have sold out!

A fantastic, friendly place for a beer and some food. They are open Fri-Sun weekly with different traders every weekend, there are always multiple vegan options and every Sunday is 100% vegan. The location is just a few minutes from the centre and has a very relaxed vibe.

Amazing little surprise - Edit
This place could be a little hard to find but when you do it's amazing! Full of fairy lights and comfy sofas, great food and drink and fun atmosphere, especially for families. And plenty of vegan food on offer. We had an amazing vegan Cuban sandwich from Press de Cuba. Then a selection from Wholesome Junkies, which included Jay Jay skewers and some delicious Jackfruit nuggets. Bloody lovely!

Great vegan grub! - Edit
I've only been to their ExtraVEGANza events which are all vegan, and I was blown away! The Hip Hop Chip Shop provided incredible vegan fish and chips, battered sausage, and deep-fried gherkins. We managed to find room was a calzone, but couldn't squeeze in any of the delicious looking donuts. It's a lovely space, with picnic tables and comfy chairs, and blankets to wrap up in during the colder months. Just a really good collection of vegan food under one roof.

Best food in Manchester - Edit
Grub is a street food fair open every weekend, with the Sunday being entirely vegan (including a 100% vegan bar with like 20 ales from independent breweries). The people are amazing, the doorman is the nicest guy you'll ever meet, and the vibes are well chilled.
Read moreThe food is different every week, with different vendors from around the UK on rotation so you'll never get bored. It's also always delicious. There's usually 2-3 savoury stalls and a couple of cake stands, and however much money you take you'll end up spending it.
They occasionally put on a 3 day festival called the ExtraVEGANza, where all the food is vegan across the weekend. I believe there's also a DJ at night playing bare tunes but I like to get there early on to avoid the crowds - it does get rather busy as every vegan in Manc seems to appear on a Sunday.
Oh and they also have vegan dog biscuits, so bring your animals xo
Pros: So much food, So much Beer, There's always a dog somewhere in there
Cons: Can get a bit busy but never that bad.

Vegan Heaven - Edit
Grub is a street food events company, who organise events in Manchester at Mayfield, a disused railway station, undergoing massive investment, to bring back to life this iconic site. Grub introduced Plant Powered Sundays to Mayfield awhile back, offering 100% vegan food from an eclectic mix of street food vendors, a vegan friendly bar, with gardening and wildlife activities for everyone to enjoy.
Read moreI loved the use of shipping containers to house the vendors, the creative wooden planters and the whole concept of the place, a chilled out atmosphere, great music, very friendly vendors and awesome vegan food.
I kicked off with a vegan friendly ESB beer from The Runaway Brewery, whilst hubby had a pint of Smash from Manchester Brewing Company, there were so many vegan beers, it was hard to make a choice.
I kicked off with a jackfruit Po' Boy from Mama Sues, who offer food from the deep south. This was a cracking sandwich absolutely perfect, packed with flavour with a proper chilli kick, absolutely delicious. They also had jambalaya, gumbo or 'Mish Mash' a bit of everything.
Hubby fancied a chickpea Kati roll and masala fries from Vaso Kitchen, who serve Indian street food, it was delicious with plenty filling and perfectly spiced chickpeas, vegan raita and loads of fresh coriander, red chillies and red cabbage. The fries were so good, we had two portions.
We could not resist the vegan cakes on offer, from Drizzle City Bakes, the display was quite breathtaking and knocks into a cocked hat the idea that vegans cannot eat cake.
I chose rocky road and hubby had the banana peanut butter brownie and we were not disappointed, the cakes were lush and so tasty.
We were way too full to partake of the delicious selection of Arancini from Artisam maybe next time.
We so enjoyed ourselves and by the number of people flocking in, this event is proving very popular with all age groups having a great time. I hope the concept continues to expand and impress and although I am sure not everyone was vegan, with food this good, it certainly dispels the myth that vegan food is bland, boring and just salad. The vendors can be proud of their cooking, I love my food and I was impressed.
Pros: 100% vegan food, Vegan beers, Family friendly

Good GRUB - Edit
So far I’ve managed to visit two GRUB events and been welcomed each time by lovely greeters. The locations that GRUB choose are fantastic, the atmosphere is brilliant, and the setting is really eclectic and modern. There’s always a wide array of hot food, at least one sweet treat trader, and vegan alcohol. I’m trying to avoid writing about specific traders, as I don’t want to outshine other stallholders that I’ve not visited yet, as they’re all absolutely brilliant. Whenever I can I make an effort to visit the vegan GRUB events, and I recommend others to do the same. It’s also a great environment for people transitioning to veganism, those who are interested in it, or for general omnivores too as there’s plenty to try, something for everyone!
