Choice of vegan plant based milks. Hot & cold vegan options. Friendly & accommodating. Very central, nice & cosy on a dull day with a big window view. Very reasonably priced.

Ground Up is always a lovely little spot to relax and have a bowl of soup, a sandwich and/or a piece of cake or a pastry. They do smoothies and milkshakes as well as hot drinks - their coffee made with oat milk is sublime! If you take away, everything is provided in a compostable container. Serves meat and dairy but catering for veggies and vegans.

Great Vegan Options Especially The Cakes - Edit
Found Ground Up on Happycow and had to visit, as vegan options in Bury are few and far between. I love the place itself and they had plenty vegan options, including a vegan sandwich, salad, three kinds of vegan cake and vegan soup. I chose a chocolate and orange slice, which was absolutely delicious, so chocolatey with lots of orange. I had a decaf coffee with the cake and that was great too. I will definitely return to Ground Up, loved the place loved the food and the staff were really friendly too.

Lovely coffee shop in Bury, Perfect for vegan snacks and light lunches. Nice airy atmosphere and light inside. Owner and staff friendly and willing to develop vegan options. There was even vegan soap in the bathroom :)
Read moreI had the cheese and tomato vegan toastie which was delicious. As I work in Bury now and then, I'll defo be popping in again to hang out. Also going to check out the Open Mic night there which is on one Wednesday a month.
