High quality food - Edit
Nice Restaurant in the city center, offering some vegan options like Knödel and Schnitzel, as well as salads. The food was very good, I also like that they use regional and seasonal ingredients and focus on sustainability. Service was great! It’s often fully booked, so better make a reservation!

There are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options, they are clearly marked on the menu. Great gluten-free section, too, for those who need it. Food was very delicious. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

Ich wäre in dieses traditionelle Wirtshaus gar nicht gegangen, auf der Suche nach veganem Essen - tatsächlich gab es aber so viel Auswahl, dass ich mich kaum entscheiden konnte. Alles eindeutig und klar gekennzeichnet, die Mitarbeitenden offensichtlich auch gut geschult, es war ein rundum sehr gelungener Besuch dort. Komme wieder und probiere weitere Gerichte!

Great for Family Lunch/Dinner 🍝 - Edit
We have been here a couple times now and always enjoyed it. There are around 5 or 6 vegan options, and every meal we have tried was very tasty 😋. Großer Kiepenkerl is great for family meals, as everyone can find something they like. We especially love the Spinat Knödel 🌱. They are also very dog friendly and provide blankets and treats 🐕.

Großer Kiepenkerl had a lot of different vegan options. I chose the Fitness-Römer- Salad, which is not vegan but they made it vegan for me with a different kind of dressing. I also had the „GrünGrünGrün sind Regina‘s feine Nudeln“ with vegan parmesan. It was such a good size of serving with fresh tomatoes. The vegan parmesan was so so good! Tasted like non-vegan parmesan. As a desert I ate the Zwetchgen Crumble. For me it was a little bit too less of the crumble but the vanilla sauce was good.

Der große Kiepenkerl bietet leckere vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Die Karte wechselt, je nach Saison auch gerne die Gerichte, sodass man nicht dazu genötigt ist immer auf dasselbe Gericht zurückzugreifen. Freundliches Personal, jedoch zu Stoßzeiten gelegentlich mit Warten verbunden. Das Ambiente ist einladend rustikal mit modernen Elementen.

This place has decent vegan options (and quite a few of them). I had “Vegane Dinkel-Maultaschen” and it was super delicious.

Entgegen der Erwartung bei einem traditionellen westfälischen Gasthaus gibt es sehr viele vegetarische Gerichte.. vegan sind 2 ausgezeichnet aber auf Nachfrage sind noch weitere „veganisierbar“
