Great place!

My friend and me went there to have lunch in Monday in ~17 o'clock and two nice women who were cooking there said that the café was actually closed. (they were cooking for their food subscribers) But! They've offered us to eat and stay despite they were closed.
We had dolma with super tasty rice, it was served with stuffed pepper(same rice), veggies, baked potatoes and soy yogurt. Dish was tasty and filling, I totally enjoyed it.
I felt they really care for their customers and love cooking vegan food for local community. It is the only vegan café in Cyprus!
The kitchen was clean, café looks cute.
Notice that Grön is in North of Nicosia (Turkish territory), so some maps might not work. It's five-min walk from border and it's totally safe to go there.
Overall: definitely go there

Pros: Tasty food, Hospitable owners , Nice design

Healthy Vegan Turkish Cuisine

Lovely vegan cafe with a daily set menu. Everything was delicious, wholesome, healthy. They are trying to veganize traditional turkish foods and doing a great job at it. They are 100%, they also have coffee (plant milks available of course), wines, vegan speciality products like dried soya mince and vegan kofte. It's a very cute place with some nice books to look through and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's in the Municipal Market. It may be difficult to find at first but trust me it's there!

Pros: Yummy and healthy, Relaxed atmosphere , Friendly staff

Homemade food with local ingredients

Small place in the middel of the municipal market.
There is a daily shifting dish with several courses: Vegan version of a 'turkish pizza, then a nice soup with local ingredienses, after that the main course with salad, raw squash spaghetti and vegan køfte and another køfte-version. For dessert there were delicious orannge cookies and coffe/really nice herbal tea with hibiskus flower, orange peel and spices.
The atmosphere is cosy, a bit like visiting friends and watching them cooking in their kitchen, while you sit at the table and watch them. Definetly a place to visit when you like an relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Pros: Home made food, Good portions, Friendly staff

Food and conversation

We enjoyed a nice lunch and an interesting conversation. The food is all freshly prepared. It's more like a great home cooked meal than a restaurant. We'd happily go back.

Fully Vegan - Highly Reccomend

DELICIOUS, diverse and filling vegan food in a cozy restaurant located in the municipal market on the Northern Cyprus (Turkish) side of Nicosia. Fezel, one of the owners/cooks was just the most accommodating and sweet person! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Pros: Great Value, Healthy, The Only vegan restaurant

Cons: Only one dish served per day

Delicious vegan food at a cosy location

Grön was at a traditional Cypriot market place situated within Nicosia old town. The food was healthy and delicious. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a filling vegan dish from Cypriot or international cuisines. It's also a perfect option for non vegans who want to incorporate more vegs/grains/plant-based food into their diet. In addition to the food, lovely owners of Gron will give you unparalleled dining experience.

Pros: Filling portions, Location , Lovely staff
