Groenendijk was not really appealing to me from the outside. Probably as the typical brasserie-style restaurant has no or limited vegan options. luckily we tried it and they proved us wrong!
Read moreWith the typical style, came the typical interior. Cosy but a bit old fashioned. However, the super friendly owner made up for it and lightened up the evening. They are really putting an effort for offering vegan options. next to the Dutch weedburger, they have a vegan menu (pic) with a cute vegan quote on the back.
The food was really delicious. first we enjoyed a pumkin-sweet potato soup and then I had a teriyaki work with tofu. My friend had bulgur with falafel and grilled veggies. Both delicious and a huge portion. Lighter noodles like brown rice noodles would maybe make the wok even better.
Overall, great experience and please go there to support their vegan initiative!!
Pros: many vegan options from weedburger to wok, super friendly staff, only option in the area
