Helps me ACTUALLY eat at school!

The best food on Vanderbilt’s campus, and VEGETARIAN. The literal best of both worlds!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Kosher, Specials

Cons: For Vanderbilt student, Pandemic makes daily specials not daily :(

Vegan options in Vanderbilt campus

Took a break from our meeting at the hotel and walked a few blocks to this on-campus vegetarian kosher cafe. Lots of vegan options and just about everything can be made vegan by substituting. I had the buffalo cauliflower bowl. Perfect spice level for me. Very casual atmosphere with lots of students.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Kosher

Cons: Not fancy if that matters to you, Couldn’t locate a recycle bin

On campus veg food

This place is on Vanderbilt University campus and student run; so if it's not school time (summer break, Christmas break, spring break, etc.) it will be closed; it's also closed on weekends. Other than that caveat, it's delicious food. From vegan Mac n Cheese, to a buddha bowl, to their Nashville Hot Tofu, you can't go wrong with any of their vegan dishes (I assume their vegetarian ones are just as good).

If you're a student/faculty/staff at Vanderbilt and have a meal plan, put it on your meal plan to get the most advantage for the money. On meal plan this place is a steal; off meal plan, this place is a bit pricey, but it's still worth it.

Pros: Delicious, Conveniently located, Takes student/staff meal plan

Cool twist on a kosher dairy vegetarian joint

Very vegan friendly place on Vanderbilt campus and near the Parthenon. We loved this place and went back a 2nd day ... especially for another serving of the nashville (red) hot tofu! Fun being on campus and dining with students (again). Maybe it's not health food but it's delicious!

Pros: nashville (red) hot tofu! , vegan friendly

Cons: a little hard to find

Yummy quick bites

Mexi cali wrap was good. Significant other had the caprese which they said was about average, but still good. Had a long line and trying to park was difficult/limited.

Pros: Portion size, On the go, Vegan cake to go

Cons: Hard to park, Long line

Yummy but awkward for out-of-towners

The food here is yummy, and the coffee is delicious. We split the Superfood wrap with tofu. But I eyed someone else's Hot (meaning spicy) Tofu plate, and I wish we had been hungry enough to split that too. The menu says white bread comes with it, but it looks like wheat bread is an option, as well. It looked like the ultimate vegan comfort plate. This place is on the campus, so the address doesn't take you straight there, and the hours vary. It's in the Jewish Cultural Center. Also, the cooks had little or no sense of urgency when we were there. So, be patient.

great location and rotating menu

This place caters primarily to Vanderbilt students but anyone can eat there. It is closed during summer and school holidays. They have a changing menu and usually some vegan options each day. Lines can be long during prime times.

Pros: rotating menu, vegan-friendly

Cons: usually crowded, sometimes hard to find parking

Quick Stop, Great Food

Super convenient, on campus at VB, and no meat is served! They live up to this claim, unlike many of the "veg-friendly" listings on here that have meat in the kitchen. Perfect for my on the go lifestyle, stopped here to see a friend on my way to a hiker event, make it a regular stop passing through from Ann Arbor - worth the short drive off the main highway to downtown!

Pros: No meat as advertised, Great food/sandwiches, Fast, to go!

Cons: Sometimes a line

Love it!

I love this place! I eat there every time I visit Vanderbilt. Their wraps are super tasty and their cookies are literally award winning- Nashville's Best Cookie (note: not Nashville's best VEGAN cookie, which it is, but best cookie- out of ALL!) I suggest a wrap with a snickerdoodle cookie (perhaps to split with someone, the cookies are big and not that cheap)

Pros: tasty, vegan-friendly, cookies

Cons: cookies aren't cheap

...

This was my half way point during my drive to Atlanta and I went out of my way to stop here. After 5 hours of driving, I arrived at this restaurant only to be told by a girl in the restaurant that they closed at 2PM [I arrived at 3:30PM]. The hours on their website said they'd be open until 8PM and I called to see if they were open this time of year. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. As far as the restaurant [I was inside], it looked very nice and it appeared to have many Vegetarian choices on the menu bored. They stocked Naked Juice and had a deli case with potato salad in it [it's only too bad the girl didn't let me buy anything].

Cons: Hours

Good Vegan Options

Grins is actually located on Vanderbilt's campus, but anyone can eat there. Their menu changes daily, but usually has great vegan options. Just make sure to ask how things are made. They are very accommodating and the prices are nice and cheap.
