Read moreI opted for an vegan bagel with only avocado and they dropped the price for me :’) Partner had vegetarian toastie. Bagel was warm and yummy! Her toastie was bland and undercooked unfortunately… they didn’t caramelise the onion so it was just raw white onion on bread with tasteless unmelted cheese and tomato. Maybe they do onions differently here, but we found it strange to have raw white onion on a toastie. She was pretty bummed.
2/5 - great service, some vegan options, hit or miss food. Would not go out of my way to go here or go back again but is an option if you’re in the area.

Spent a week in Tauranga and became a regular guest of this cafe. I loved the vegan options they have, in particular that great salad one of the girls made me on the first day, when I arrived after the cabinet had been raided during lunch! Super yummy, with fresh greens, roasted veggies and an excellent creamy cashew dressing.

Everything I tried was really good. Plus, the place is nice, near the centre, the prices are more than OK and the people working there are nice.

Tbh did not lead up to any expectations I had due to the reviews on here. I got the vegan roll and it was so dry, a great selection but I won’t be visiting when I come to Tauranga again, hopefully better luck for others.

Grindz cafe has got stunning food and so many different vegan options to choose from! My personal favourite are their jack fruit sliders and their chocolate oat slice! So yum! They also do a delicious ‘sausage’ roll 😍 and many other things too! Definitely worth paying them a visit

Many vegan options, food came and cooked to table within 5 Min!!! I had a buddy bowl, slice and a hot drink, staff friendly and cool vibe to the cafe. There's also a small vegan shop as well inside. Cabinet and menu food available ❤️🕺

Lots of places to sit here and many of them can feel out of the way. Iced chocolate is very tasty. There is a children's playroom available. Free wifi. Top tip: head to one of the comfy looking chairs. It's worth it!!
