Great options and good food - Edit
This was our first time here so we decided to get some bakery items, hoagies, and a beverage. My favorite items were the zucchini bread and the prickly pear limeade. The cream cheese coffee was cake was okay, but it wasn’t what I expected so the flavor caught me off-guard. It tastes more like a cream cheese danish than a coffee cake. I’m always excited to get a hoagie so I was happy with the Italino. I’ll come back and visit again to try more items, including an espresso-based item. I recommend that you order online at least 20 minutes beforehand if you are ordering a sandwich, hoagie, etc. It will limit the time that you have to stand outside.

My home - Edit
I love this place! The clubhouse on rye is seriously like the best sandwich I've ever had. They have a great variety of treats and drinks. They are kind of expensive, especially when it comes to the sweets. But their cinnamon rolls/sticky buns are huge, so I'd recommend those at least if you're on a budget 😅
Read moreI lived two different places just a few blocks from here, so I used to order Grindcore all the time. I miss when the store was open. I loved sitting in the back with all the weird art, books, and music. But they are crazy efficient with their online oders, and I'm happy the staff are safe.
Pros: Great food, Far left
Cons: Are often out of the treat you want, Kind of expensive

Great place to grab breakfast bites with friends - Edit
We came here with friends on a Saturday morning. The friends were passing through town and we wanted some vegan food that consisted of hot drinks and tasty breakfast.
Read moreThis place was wonderful. We ordered online and our food and drinks are ready to go when we got there. And because of Covid we are able to get outside in the nearby neighborhood park. I got the BLAT sandwich. It was both tasty and refreshing and I also got the turmeric golden latte was so milk and it was warm and delicious as well. I had ginger in it but it’s definitely stood out to me as someone else is trying to like ginger but thinks it is spicy.
I can’t wait to come back here next time. It’s definitely a new vegan Philly favorite for me. I highly recommend.
Pros: Lots of vegan option, Delicious food, Wonderful hot beverage selection

Ahhhh-mazing - Edit
Stopped in at Grindcore House for breakfast today after several years away (moved from the area). I was blown away by the amount of options they have and how tasty everything is! The sandwiches on Miss Rachel's biscuits?? Maple butter?? Everything buns?? Whipped cream on custom drinks?? What!! We will be making the trek back very soon.

A vegan’s one stop shop to get fresh sandwiches, desserts, and the coffee that they deserve. Extra points because they use a lot of products from other local vegan businesses.

My Favorite Vegan Spot - Edit
Love everything about this place. The food is great; I always enjoy looking at the art in the back room, and of course, the always great tunes playing. The wifi password itself is worth a 5-star review!

Want to move to Philly for this place - Edit
First visit this past Sunday when we were visiting Philly; love the food and coffee. They were playing Minor Threat, the Dead Kennedys, Crass, and Black Flag while we were there; this was a big plus. I've had to go back to my miserable life in rural central PA, but will try to make frequent trips back.

I come here several times whenever I visit Philly. The sun dried tomato and basil cream cheese is awesome, as is the Greenwich sandwich. Warm and cozy atmosphere.

Best vegan cream cheese on bagels - Edit
My spouse found this little spot and insisted we stop on the way up to Farm Sanctuary and I’m so glad we did. Grabbed a couple bagels and cream cheese and I have to say it was better than Kite Hill and better than Miyoko, and that’s saying something. Nice people too.

The best - Edit
Grindcore certainly doesn't need another glowing review but I can't help it. I've been going since they opened and between the staff, the coffee and food it's really the best vegan spot in town.
Read moreDelicious coffee drinks with multiple vegan milk options, some of my favorite sandwiches in town for lunch and way too many sweet treats for breakfast or snacks. It's a comfy space with an awesome staff. It's really the best hands-down.

unrecognizably vegan pastries! - Edit
super yummy pastries like cannolis and cakes and donuts, including things like cheese cake that you could never imagine vegan! if they didn’t tell you it was vegan i doubt you would suspect it. also sandwiches and coffee etc. but the music is soo loud and it’s always extreme screamo music which is unpleasant...

Grabbed a tea and an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. Wanted something light since I was visiting Philly and would be doing a lot of walking and it was just what I needed to start the day. Sat at a table in the front and read the local magazines they had available. Staff was friendly too.

First off, they played Cult of Luna while I was there and ISIS, so that was a positive right from jump.
Read moreBut on a serious note, my significant other and I had a good experience at Grindcore house. I purchased a toasted marshmallow latte that was delicious, she received the cold brew along with the speculoos cake.
My latte, was absolutely delicious, I really enjoyed it, and had the perfect balance of bold caffeine, to sweetness.
My significant other didn't really care as much for the cold brew, it was very strong and acidic and upset her otherwise strong stomach.
The speculoos cake was good, it was incredibly reminiscent of the peanut butter bomb cake from Champs Diner in Brooklyn, but I would have preferred the peanut butter.
Jordan from Grindhouse should be considered the tour guide of Grindhouse with her familiarity and friendliness. Thank you to her for telling us about the city.
Pros: literally entirely vegan, sandwich options/several milk alternatives , friendly staff
Cons: cold brew was really strong

I love this place, and I could eat their everything bagels with jalapeño cream cheese every day (...if I didn't care about my budget or carb-intake). They also make a mean dirty chai here. They've got dog treats behind the counter so your furry friend can join you if you're taking out or eating outside.
