Small store - Edit
This is a small branch of a health food coop; there are two other (larger) branches of this coop in Ithaca. There are some tables and chairs for sitting and eating, though they offer only some vegan food for grab-and-go.

Grab and go vegan options - Edit
This is a very convenient corner store that happens to be a great place for vegan staples! They always have seitan and tofu, and other staples like cereal/plant milk. They also have a prepared food section with clearly marked vegan items. Cannot believe this is such a convenient small grocery , highly recommend

Love Gstar! - Edit
I shop here regularly and love it! I feel at home there and have come to know many of the friendly staff, who are always very helpful! The deli has a decent amount of vegan options, though I do think they could and should offer more... The bakery has many vegan offerings including: cupcakes, donuts, muffins and muffin tops, brownies and some cookies. They carry a good amount of vegan products in the store as well.

Cons: could use more vegan deli options

cool market - Edit
I was passing through town on way home from Farm Sanctuary and enjoyed perusing green star health market. It was cool to find locally made tofu and seitan! The bakery case had yummy large vegan chocolate chip cookies, but I was disappointed that the hot bar was closed when I got there. It seemed very small to begin with, but I did get the last of the potato kale soup. 😀

Great food at a great location - Edit
It's so nice to have a little bit of Greenstar right in Dewitt Mall. It's not as big as the West End Greenstar, but there's lots of vegan food to be found here. The bakery case is full of really great vegan baked goods and desserts, and you can find prepared foods, veggie jerky, tofu and seitan and other veggie "meats", vegan milks, and many other things a vegan might need in a pinch, like organic produce, baking supplies and catnip.
Read morePros: great vegan desserts, great location, seating areas inside and outside
Cons: smallish store, can be pricey if you're not careful, no vegan lip balm!!

Good if you are in a hurry, - Edit
I find myself at Greenstar or Oasis at least 2 times a day. The vegetarian sushi runs out fast and isnt always fresh, but theres always the old standby, Peanut Lime Noodles, yum! I like the sitting area in Oasis and the real silverware, cups and available water is terrific. The employees at Oasis have been friendly too.
