Ok

There are a few vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

The food is OK, it's Korean/Japanese and what you'd expect from a small town.

I ordered the Edamame which didn't come salted. Vege making set (inari, cucumber roll, avocado roll) which were good but nothing special. Also got the fried vegetable yakisoba and clarified that there was no egg. It was like instant ramen noodles, and not my favourite sauce. A good amount of veggies though.

For the area it is pretty good - not much else around for vegans to eat but nothing to write home about.

Pleasant Veg-Friendly Japanese/Korean Eatery

I've come to the Greenbank Restaurant for many years while living in Port Perry, pre-vegan and post-vegan, and I've found the adjustment easy. You can always clarify with the owner what is vegan and what isn't. She's very sweet and open to suggestion, and she seems to really care about her regular customers. Although there aren't tons of vegan options, some appetizers, like edamame, are vegan, there are quite a few vegetable sushi options, and a couple mains (vegetable stir fry, etc.) that are vegan. As far as I know right now, there are no vegan desserts (the only one I know of is green tea ice cream). So it's nowhere near 100% vegan, but I still always loving coming to the Greenbank Restaurant for lunches with my Mom or great sushi take-out!

Pros: Delicious Food, Healthy Options (ex. Brown Rice Sushi), Friendly Owner

Cons: Limited Vegan Options
