Poor Quality & Taste - Edit
Food was bland and tasted bad. The french fries must've been frozen bc they were chewy and tasteless instead of crispy. They had some kind of greens or herbs on them but I couldn't tell what they were. The Dolly Parton breading was good but the soft tofu had not been mainated or flavored and had no bite to it. Roasted Korean Cauliflower was not roasted. It was white and soggy and the sauce was not flavorful. The falafel was pasty and bland. The only good things were the siracha aioli, the dressing on the falafel and the dark chocolate truffle which was really a cake pop. Very disappointed that the rare vegan place on LI was so bad and I can't understand all of the positive reviews. Had to give 2 stars in order to post this but should be none.

Vegan GF paradise - Edit
Thanks to this eatery, I was able to eat a black and white cookie again for the first time in like 15 years since going vegan and then having to go gluten-free. The staff was SO kind and helpful when it comes to intolerances. When I told them it was my first time there, they quickly asked me what my dietary restrictions were and suggested certain menu items based on the info I gave them. It felt so reassuring that THEY asked ME what I need instead of ME having to ask some poor waiter so many questions about the food and me feeling like a weirdo and uncomfortable when the waiter doesn't know the answers... The people here clearly care about taking good care of their customers. This place is an hour away from where I live, but I am already thinking of excuses to go back to the area just to eat this food hehe :-)

Wish this were a Franchise!!!! - Edit
We’re traveling and my family was going to CFA and I needed to find something for my vegan self. This place was amazing! Ended up buying two lunches and a dinner to go. Ate the Dolly Parton sandwich first and it was to die for. I could eat that every day. Also had the soul half bowl and southwest half bowl. Half bowl was plenty for a meal. Ate those the next day and they were wonderful even a day later. Also treated myself to the oatmeal cream pie, and it was amazing. Just wish this place was a franchise. Definitely recommend! Also treated myself to the oatmeal cream pie, and it was very good!

Good, Fresh Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
You can tell the staff at Green Street Eatery really love this place, and care that their customers are happy. I appreciate that!
Read moreRight now, I can’t have wheat or corn, so I was happy that they could tell me about the ingredients on the menu — many don’t work for me (but I’ll tell you, those tacos & drinks looked beautiful!).
Finally ended up with the Tofu Bites (Sesame Ginger) — modified with a nooch coating instead of the corn starch. Taste: GREAT! Size: not ‘bites’ — they were 4 - 1/2” triangles … requiring a knife (this is minor).
Got the Slaw for a fresh element — OMG’dess, this is delicious!
Also got the Bacon Ranch Fries (no Ranch or green onion). Gotta say, I’m not a fan of the texture of thick tempeh, but the flavor is perfect. I liked the diced tomatoes, but the herbed coating on the fries is weird to me. If the fries had a crunchy outside (maybe add some garlic too) & soft inside, I might have liked them better. They’re baked, so I don’t think getting that consistency can happen.
Haven’t had the Apple Cinnamon Granola Bar yet, but finding a snack with ingredients I can eat is a treasure.
I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the neighborhood.
Pros: Great Staff, knowledgeable, Interesting & fresh food, Clean place
Cons: It’s not organic 🤷🏻♂️

I’ve been there many times and everything I have ordered has been delicious and freshly made. OMG the Dolly Parton sandwich! Crispy/saucy/spicy tofu topped with Cole slaw and pickles and dressing. It’s a glorious messy treat.

WFPB eats! - Edit
Green Street is a fast casual place, all vegan & gluten free. Staff is friendly & place is clean. There are daily specials and lots to choose from on the regular menu.
Read moreThe bowls are the best bang for your buck if you’re hungry, because the portion size is hefty. The tacos are small and a little pricy but really good. I had a daily special of a seasoned tofu burger which tasted amazing but was teeny tiny for like 14 bucks, so I’ll probably stay away from the specials in the future.
I have tried the Buffalo bowl and the Korean cauliflower bowl. They were both good but I thought the cauliflower one was excellent. The Buffalo was pretty salty.
They have to-go salads and desserts in a refrigerator. I got the potato salad to go once but again, very salty so I wouldn’t get it again.
The place is super cute, with tables inside & out. It’s pretty hot and stuffy in there in the summer, though. Not sure if the AC was broken or just doesn’t exist but I felt bad for the folks in the kitchen.
Pros: Lots of healthy options, Actual plants, no fake meats, Cute atmosphere
Cons: Some food is very salty

Perfect - Edit
A perfect place to eat. In addition to being vegan I also can’t eat gluten, so it can be hard to find food to eat even at vegan restaurants. This is quite literally the only restaurant I’ve ever been to where I can order literally anything on the menu. So clean, so cute, very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Green Street Eatery is chock full of friendly staff that take the time to learn your name, all of your dietary restrictions, and reccomend/adjust accordingly. The food is made with LOVE, and the feel of the establishment is very warm and welcoming. You feel like you're seeing an old friend when you're here! Took 2 non-vegan friends here for lunch and we all enjoyed everything we tried. The stand-outs were the Korean BBQ yum yum fries and the chocolate covered cookie dough balls.

Ive had the Thai Bowl and the Vietnamese Fries, Southwest bowl. I think the Thai Bowl was the best, the tofu was cooked perfectly and the veggies had the locally grown taste. Also very good peanut butter cookie. Was out of luck, the whookie pie was sold out. Super friendly owner.

Great vibe and great food - Edit
I loved eating here, and my non-vegan mom loved the food here too. We ordered the TLT (gone before I could get a picture), mac and cheese with tempeh, and Vietnamese fries. All were delicious and not as heavy as I was expecting (which is great, but also dangerous in terms of how much you could end up eating). Definitely returning here soon to try other menu items.
