Awesome - must stay here!

Green Springs Inn is an 8 room hotel, cabins, and rustic dinner. It’s The whole package. And set in a beautiful forest. First of all, I stayed in a room. It was dog friendly, and they provided treats and tennis balls for our dogs (as well as sheets and pillows) in a welcome basket. The room was HUGE for a hotel room. The jacuzzi tub was nice. And the blanket was the biggest fluffiest ever. I highly recommend the rooms. The cabins looked awesome, but bigger than the two of us needed.

The restaurant was surprisingly busy with locals (where did they come from?). The vegan options were a home made burger, a veggies and potato or polenta plate, or a kale and seeds and berries salad. For breakfast, they have a veggie scramble that they will make with tofu instead of eggs. The surprising thing is you’re 17 miles from Ashland up in the hills at this little rustic dinner, and they prepare fancy high class food (the fancy stuff is not vegan, but still) that I expected at an upscale big city restaurant. I had the veggies and polenta and the scramble. Both were what I expected and perfectly good.

If you are a runner or walker, look for the trail next to the Pilot Rock Cabin. It’s well marked. It’s a short path down to a never used forest service road where the dogs and people can run free.

In summary, if you are in Ashland, this is the place to stay.

Pros: Beautiful, Friendly, Good grub

Cons: Other than being so far away from me, none
