Serves meat, vegan options available. Quick service lunch joint with veggie choices for salads and sandwiches, and accepts requests for substitutes. Try the beanpower panini. Open Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm.
Went to the Rideau Centre food court location today before catching a train. I got the tempeh box filled with roasted beets, chickpeas, rice, greens, shredded carrots, sesame seeds, and some other goodies. 12$, so not cheap, but kept me filled and happy. The server was pretty well informed when I said I was vegan, and knew which dressings to suggest which didn't contain honey or may. Will go again!
Pros: tempeh, tofu, nuts and seeds all feature prominent, serving staff seemed pretty well-informed; go-to p, quick service and convenient for a quick lunch or

I had a wrap from this place, a brand new location in the Bell building on Elgin st. one BLAT wrap cost 8.49$. the tomato's were frozen, the sandwich got soggy from the avocado paste that was spread on it.When I ordered my sandwich there were two different lines depending on what you were ordering it caused a lot of confusion among the costumers. The staff at the cash offered no direction to the growing mob of people near the cash it was hard to tell who had ordered and who was waiting for food. All and all over priced craptacular sandwich. I am not the only person in my office who has had a bad experience, i've talked to 3 other people who have all had a the same experience...disappointed.
Green rebel, Freshi and Vitae-mine are three downtown restaurants that are very similar. They all serve salads and wraps or sandwiches. At Green Rebel most items cost about $10. You can basically pick whatever you want to go in your salad or sandwich. All offer tofu and almost any other vegetable you could like. I tend to prefer Freshi because it is slightly less expensive and also has a rice or noodle option. Any of the three are good quick options for a vegetarian or vegan and all three are nice bright inviting places catering to the downtown office worker.

Great salads - Edit
If I worked next door to this place I'd eat there every day (and be totally broke! lol). Tasty salads in an eco-friendlier paper box.
