I had food poisoning the next day, and based on timing of what I ate, it was probably from here though I can't say 100%. Between this and the server with an apathetic attitude, it got me thinking that vegan restaurants are safer overall (I've had food poisoning 3x in Mexico, none from vegan restaurants) because they tend to be owner-operated or have employees that care more.

FYI for foreigners, because produce is often contaminated from animal waste (and other things), Mexicans usually soak fruits and vegetables in an antibacterial solution for 20 minutes. But in a busy place, or if someone in the kitchen just doesn't care, I'm guessing this step can easily be forgotten. Most Mexicans have much more immunity so it doesn't affect them much, if at all.

Anyway, there's better vegan pizza from vegan restaurants.
