Does not disappoint. - Edit
I noticed Green Olive when we visited Bangor University earlier in the year so was happy to revisit today as my son has started at uni here.
Read moreInitially we sat outside as there was no space inside, but asked to move in when a table was free. From the lunch menu (served 12-4) we had the Seitan Focaccia with pizza chips and my wife had the beetroot soft cheese focaccia. The Seitan was lovely and my wife reported hers was too. The pizza chips topping perhaps a bit too sloppy for but my son and wife enjoyed them.
Not cheap but lovely as an occasion treat so we will be back when we visit the area soon.
Oh the staff and service was very bright , friendly and efficient- thank you.
Pros: Nice simple menu , Friendly service
Cons: Cawton press Ginger - no ginger!

Beautiful - Edit
We sat outside on a warm, sunny day and watched the world go by.
Read moreWe enjoyed iced tea, baked beetroot focaccia and an orzo salad with seitan strips. (That whipped feta still cheese in the focaccia was the best vegan cheese I've ever had.)
We also have scones for desert. I've never had a scone before because I've been vegan a really long time. It was INCREDIBLE. I need more of that in my life for sure.
The staff were attentive and really helpful with local information.
We'll definitely be back here when we can.
Pros: The vegan cheese was next level, Good service , Excellent variety
Cons: Needs to open in the evening

Delicious food in a wonderful cafe - Edit
This is my second visit here, as I have to be at least close by. It’s a lovely cafe, with a regularly changing seasonal menu. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and very helpful. The food is varied, so there’s bound to be something for you! There’s a reason it’s always busy!

Seems like a lovely place - Edit
Nice selection of drinks and cakes. The staff seemed friendly and helpful, not only concerning the cafe - one guy offered to help us find our way onwards when leaving the cafe at closing time (we visited Wales as tourists). Would return to taste their other dishes if I’d had the opportunity.

The photos tell the truth... - Edit
...it was as good as it looks like. Go there and have this awesome breakfast of a "bacon"(homemade smoked tofu)-maple-banana-pecan-pancake. What a combination! And our coffee wasn't just an ordinary latte,we had a maple-sea-salt-latte, sounds crazy, tastes crazy, both, but very very delicious. The other ones was a blueberry-pistacchio-cream-pancake,also very tasty! They also had a couple of cakes, scones and cookies, also everything's labelled if gluten free. Breakfast is from 10-12pm,lunch from 12-4pm.

Pros: Uncommon food combinations, really unique, All vegan

An absolute gem - Edit
I visit Anglesey several times a year so this place is a priceless find. I have my breakfast there at every chance and, while there’s a great selection, I usually opt for the superb Green Olive Full Breakfast. I’ve been for a late lunch a couple of times, but will definitely make a point of trying all the options.

The Tops - Edit
Highly recommended. Easy to find from a public car park just around the corner. It was busy at lunch time and we hadn’t booked but luckily there was a pair of sofas in the window for us. Focaccia with roast vegetables was yummy. Nice coffee too. The cakes looked great but we (sadly) didn’t sample them.

Fab find! - Edit
We found this cafe on Happy Cow and drove out especially to find it. Fully vegan and very busy, even out of season. We both went for soup of the day (sweet potato and squash) which came with doorsteps of bread. Had also ordered cheezy garlic bread to share which was fabulous albeit maybe slightly greedy! Not sure I can do cake any justice at the moment but will make an attempt later (we got 2 monster scones and home made jam to take away in the end!)

Green Olive - Edit
Visiting Anglesey and had to pop into the only 100% vegan place currently there. Varied menu with plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch. I had the baecon and banana pancakes which were delicious. Decent portion size and no scrimping on the maple syrup either. Nice quality coffee too. Only slight downside for me was sitting outside which is on a fairly busy road and it was pretty cold. If you’re travelling with dogs be aware it is outside seating only.

Visit you won't be dissapointed - Edit
A vegan only café offering great food in comfortable surroundings.
Read moreMy wife and I popped in for breakfast, served until 12:00, and both chose the full vegan breakfast. Wow you get a real plate full and a side plate with seeded wholemeal toast. I apologise for not including any photos but being both forgetful and hungry I just tucked in but take my word it was wonderful.
The plate contained, tofu smokey not-bacon, blackbean blackpudding, scrambled tofu, hash root vegetables (this was especially good and had Kale and lots of other things in it), roasted baby tomatoes on the vine, mushrooms, beans and a sausage. It was really tasty with lots of contrasting textures and the only bought in ready made thing was the sausage, everything else is made on the premises.
I must add that the coffee, decaff for medical reasons, was perfect. There's a fashion for "fruity" acidic coffee these days and I'm pleased to say that whilst there was an acidic note it wasn't overpowering like I sometimes find. Obviously it's all personal preference but for me a perfect breakfast and fantastic cup of coffee.
Pros: Vegan only but with loads of choices , All freshly prepared and homemade , Lovely owner and staff
Cons: None I can think of except it closes at 17:00
