The Best! - Edit
We visited several vegetarian restaurants on our Arizona trip, and this one was the best! The food was excellent, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. If we lived nearby, this would be a regular haunt for us.

Vegan Oasis in the Desert - Edit
Numerous vegan sandwiches, burgers, salads and appetizers. The BFF is a chick‘n sandwich with Daiya cheddar that is on point. Boneless buffalo wings and vegan chili also hit the spot. About 10 beers available as well.

Delicious - Edit
It’s a bit out of the way from me. But hey it’s worth driving 35 miles for a “Big WAC”, “Karma Curry”, or anything else on the menu. If you are a meat eater. You won’t believe how delicious it tastes.

I had been meaning to try and explore vegan spots around town and this place is awesome! Nonstop busy for a reason. Food was great and cured cravings for the common foods that aren't ever available for vegans. Yum!

Wac Attack - Edit
Wac attack... when the urge to eat a big wac strikes you from no where and you have to rush to green to satiate your craving. It's a real thing. I eat here 2-3 times per week, everything is great. I like adding to the order fresh jalapenos avo tempeh bacon. I'm getting hungry now.

Excellent - Edit
I ordered the Big Wac with fries and came back the next day and got it again it was so good. Indistinguishable from the actual Big Mac, as far as I can remember. INCREDIBLE.

You have to know what to order! - Edit
Order the Big Wac and buffalo wings!! Best vegan wings I've ever had. You'll want to drink the sauce. Omg. SO GOOD.

Don't forget to go to Nami next door!

Mean Green Vegan Machine - Edit
What we ordered: Karma Curry, samosas, fried brussels sprouts, Dagobah, animal fries, drinks.
Read moreWhat I liked: curry, dagobah, fries, and brussels
Flavor was great, portions were even better. Nothing was too oily or over done.
The dressing on that dagobah was outstanding.
Only thing I would change would be the onions on the animal fries. Onions did not taste fresh and were chopped small. They would have been completely insignificant if it wasn't for the sauce.
Pros: Nice portions, Good Flavor

Best Vegan in Phoenix - Edit
Emphasis on comfort food, "mock" meats, done very well. It's great to know it's all vegan, no worries about meat or cheese getting added accidentally. First place I go to when visiting Phoenix.

Great place and delicious food - Edit
A lot of variety on the menu and there are really no bad decisions possible. The wings, crab puffs and chili fries are all fantastic starters. The sandwiches and bowls will for sure satisfy even a picky palate.

Very tasty! - Edit
She had the "Singapore orange" bowl with the mock chicken, and I had the "Peanut chicken" bowl, but made into a burrito for just an extra buck. Both were terrific. Very flavorful with a spicy bite, but not too hot. Also a wide variety of specially made drinks, which were also very good. A very filling meal for a very reasonable price. A definite winner!

absolutely amazing - Edit
This place is great. My family and I were in Phoenix for the week and we must have eaten at Green at least 4 times. Keep in mind, the rest of my family is full of hard-core meat eaters, and yet they fell in love with this vegan food. I had the sesame dragon rice bowl and it was amazing. The flavoring was perfect. We also had the vegan chili which was out of this world.

Incredible! - Edit
I had the "Big Wac" and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten (right up there with my dessert from Nami)! SO good. Tastes so similar to a Big Mac... But even better! If you're going for the first time, try that!

A+++ - Edit
One of the first places that my husband and I tried when we first moved here. It's hard to describe how thankful one could be to find a restaurant where I can have almost everything on the menu. Allergy free options as well as some of the best flavors in town. Always outstanding customer service and a very friendly atmosphere. I wish I could live out back and eat here daily. Thank you Green

Excellent vegan fare! - Edit
Really good first impression. I ordered the "Big Dipper " special and it was excellent, with a great rustic bun, really tender thin-sliced seitan, good quality cheeze (I think Chao), and onion rings on top! The only thing slightly off was the au jus, but that's really hard to do vegan so I give them a pass. Definitely stop here if in Phoenix.

not safe for celiacs - Edit
the whole menu is vegan, and there are some amazing items... what i tasted (buffalo wings, artichoke dip, jerk tofu salad) were all delicious, and only slightly overpriced, but i found out halfway through my meal that everything i'd ordered off the glutenfree menu had been fried in dirty (contaminated) oil, even though there was no indication on the menu that these items were deep fried. the server/cashier was really apathetic when i brought it to her attention. since this place has a dedicated menu and they answered all my pre-order questions "correctly," i thought this place would be worth the risk. i was wrong. it's been over a week, and i'm still VERY sick. this place is fine for healthy able bodied vegans, but if you have celiac or food allergies, BEWARE. they have no idea what they're doing, despite that beautifully printed gf menu and knowing how to answer all your questions.
Read moremy cow rating is only for the unlimited drink refills on some interesting beverages, like limeade and iced green tea. as far as food and service goes, i wish i could give negative cows.

Fun, airy, tasty spot - Edit
In a casual garage-like space with a handful of outdoor tables and ~20 indoor tables, Green has a food and drink menu with lots of choices. From kombucha to beer, salads to stir-frys to burgers and sandwiches, there's a variety from light and healthy to comfort and junk food. They also have a kids' menu.
Read moreAll the dishes were abundant, with the salads and bowl choices coming in large bowls, and the sandwiches with fries/side. I struggled to save room for dessert! Nothing that I tried stood out as superb; all the dishes were very good. The staff is friendly and the place has a fun and funky vibe.
Same style interior and menu as the other location in Tempe (this one has Nami ice cream, bakery and cafe across the parking lot rather than in the same building).
Pros: Both healthy and junk food choices, Lofty, fun interior with outdoor seating
Cons: Small parking lot

Great vegan choice in Phoenix - Edit
Green New American offers a welcome vegan menu. I had the "Argentine" Po-boy. The sandwich was substantial and delicious. The restaurant is comfortably casual. Parking is limited the lot that surrounds the restaurant if the restaurant is busy.
