Best Vegan Food I’ve Had In Arizona - Edit
Everything I’ve had here is to die for. The service is also very friendly and fast. The Big Mac clone they serve is even better than one from McDonald’s. I am a big fan of the chicken they use here as well as the cheese. No notes.

Great food - Edit
The food here is great at a reasonable price. Counter service and bus your own table. I'm not a fan of the way they do their fries, they settle and start to get gross too quickly. Their barbeque sauce is not great and has chunks of...garlic it looks like? The cream cheese in the crab rangoon is too thin and runs out when you take a bite.

I score this Chick’n Sandwich a 9/10 :)!
Read moreThe chick’n was perfectly crispy and taste BETTER than the real thing and the housemade ranch sauce was on point! The vegetables were amazing! Fresh avocado spread, lettuce, tomato, vegan cheddar cheese (which was amazing) and the sautéed jalapeños created a perfect blend of excellence! If you’re in the Phoenix area this is a must have!
Ingredients:
Crispy mock chicken, sautéed jalapeños, lettuce, avocado, onion, tomato, housemade ranch, and toasted bun.

Delicious food - Edit
I love this place, they have a good variety of sandwiches and appetizers. I had the cheesesteak and it was pretty big with lots of filling. I really liked the “meat”, and it had a kick to it w the peppers. Nice interior as well, and lots of drink choices. Overall great food and great atmosphere.

Ps. Took some meat eaters there and their faces were priceless when they took a bite. They said " That's really good" and " That's not meat?"

The regular menu is good, like the big wac, dagobah jungle, fries. The rotating specials are usually very tasty.

Kept Ordering More! - Edit
Ended up sampling many items on the menu after they were so delicious. I got the “crab” Rangoons which I havent seen since going vegan and they were very good. Also got two types of tacos, I particularly loved the seitan Chimi taco which was on special. The jungle wrap was also excellent and was very unique in its flavors.

very good - Edit
I went another place that was inedible first, then came to Green New American Vegetarian praying it would be good. It was! According to the staff everything was vegan. Everything came out really fast too.
Read moreThe egg rolls and chili fries were both good! The chili fries were a bit salty (and I like salt) but I still ate everything. The foccacia was slightly bland and oversalted but the onions on top were good.
Pros: Everything vegan, Reasonable prices, Food came out fast
Cons: Some things were a bit salty

Whopper Look Alike- Rocks! - Edit
Yummy! They have a burger that puts the meat whopper to shame. That is coming from, of course, a 32 year vegan. Love that it’s on a row of vegan restaurants (2 owned by same owner) and cafés next-door to each other. A lot of vegan love all in one place!

I come here every time I visit Phoenix. Great menu, revolving beers and a stone’s throw from The Phoenix Art Museum. I can’t go to one without going to the other.

Seriously some of the best vegan food in town. Would highly recommend the west coast fries- all of their appetizers are solid. I haven’t found anything that I haven’t liked. Staff are super friendly and Nami is right next door to satisfy your sweet tooth!

10/10 - Edit
I had been going here since 2015. I moved to the Pacific Northwest thinking that it would be filled with vegan restaurants. I have not found anything that is remotely close to Green. I really miss it and every time I go back to Phoenix I’m going to eat here. My favorites are the Wendy’s pickle, the Ranchero burrito, and almost every single time I order the special if it’s not sold out.

So So good! - Edit
Good! Different, unexpected but delicious. I had a peanut "chicken" salad - Delicious. My husband had a hobo "chicken" sandwich and chili - yum! The best was the "cheesy" spinach dip served warm with tortilla chips - devoured!

California Burrito - Edit
I feel like this is one of the healthier takes on a burrito. It was a special of the day, so don’t expect it on the menu. I’ve eaten here and the other location a few times. For whatever reason I like this place way more, plus Nami is next door for vegan deserts.

Solid vegan meal - Edit
Only been here once and it was for pickup, but the spicy chicken sandwich and fish taco I had were both outstanding and flavorful and I thought were good value for the price and area. Would Def return.

Won’t return - Edit
Food was mid. I had potatoes tacos a special they had they probably put a tbls of filling in the taco. As a business owner I don’t put one stars but will point out things to improve. Portion size per code… they don’t have hardly any soy free options. Except fries and salad. Bring more customers in with a whole food menu.. the tap water provided is so nasty that I bought a tea instead to find out they use tap water in it as well 3/4 teas made w cane sugar. I’m not sure what oil is used but takes like vegetable or canola oil.. Yes for the animals but yes for my body as well..the staff was friendly & food was ready quick. Until they make changes I will not be returning or recommending.
